So, has anyone else seen the new Radio 1 web site yet? Through some freak accident earlier today I managed to see the new design of the front page and most of the DJ pages, along with the new and fantastic audio section. The weirdest thing is I accessed the site for the first time ever on this browser and got shown the old one, but clicking the link on the /radio/ page gave me the new site.
There's a lot of individuality in DJ's own pages, with exceptions for KC, Emma B, Vicky Marsden and that lot. The "main six" (Scott Mills, Sara Cox, Jo Whiley, Mark and Lard and Chris Moyles) no longer have Flash-based sites - Hurrah! - but they have had more attention paid to their sites than others.
I don't like the new design of the front page, but maybe it's something I'll get used to in time. There were a couple of broken links when I saw the site, but I'm sure they'll be fixed by now.
What I'm most happy about though is the "Listen Again" section, in which you can listen to recordings of most of the previous week's "specialist" shows. Looking forward to using that a lot.
Anyways, I wrote most of this thinking they'd gone back to the old-style site, but hey, there's my review. - jc
