OK, like Moyles said on the TV show the other day, most people not in London are laughing every time there is a Tube strike, but not me...

I worked there for a year and I know what a nightmare it is, all over a bit more money (I'm not sure what the official reason is, but it's clearly over money.) The London Underground must be the greediest, most money-grabbing industry in Britain, there seems to be a strike every three weeks.

The problem I have is anyone could do that bloody job, it's not exactly hard, you can't even get lost, you're on rails for Chris sake.

I'll go along with you on that.

I work in the city, but I'm lucky enough to commute by motorbike. The amount of extra traffic on the roads yesterday was a joke. As I came into the city there were some tube workers standing outside a closed tube station....boy were they getting some stick from passing traffic!!!!!

The problem is that Ken Livingstone is so far up his own arse, he cant see that as soon as he brings in this £5 congestion charge this is going to happen all the time cause the unions know they can hold everyone to ransom... :x

Right, I feel cleansed, morning rant over. Back to work

I thought one of the tube strikes was over safety, or wasn't it? The congestion charge seems like a ridiculous idea, my cousin has recently moved to London for a couple of year for 'the experience' and she and her boyfriend can barely afford to live there as it is. Bare in mind that she's a midwife and has to travel around the centre of London several times a day, how is she supposed to afford that? The hospital could pay for it, but then thats just taking money out of the NHS.

I agree that the tube strike is a bad idea cos I have visited London many times before including during the rush hour and used the tube. On one occassion the queue for trains went right out of the station and onto the road above. But I do think that tube workers need to be paid more money because of the amount they have to put up with.

Often people go on strike so that they can get their point across and because of the chaos that the strike must have brought to London then the workers will be hoping thats this will work
