having heard that "amazing new track" on Moyles show today i still after all these years come to the same conclusion..what was the big fuss......The Pixes did exactly the same years before hand and yet their never got the recognition even though they were the massive influence on them
very overated..i prefer the Foo Fighters..and i suppose with Nirvana they wouldnt have happened..so no Everlong.....erm.... :?

what do you think...im on the massive overated side

In some respects I agree with you....in others, not.

Annoyingly vague answer to your direct straight-forward question? Yes.

I like Nirvana and love some of their songs, the lyrics are good and musically they can be simple and yet sound great. Only bad thing is they got heavily publicized and it was a shame as I don't it was exactly the level they wanted it to. Now it's just a shame as you get all these kids acting like they love Nirvana and really don't get what they were trying to do and so it ruined the whole thing and spoilt it heavily for others.

The 'Nevermind' album was good, but apart from that I think they were a bit dull.

lol Nevermind had to be their worst one! People only ever say it's good because they havn't heard others or think yeah I'll say that and sound Like I know what I'm on about.

I'm not big into nirvana, and I honestly couldnt name you any albums, or much about them at all! But I did like their songs, they were good.

this is my history of my nirvana

i heard about them so in 1994 i bought the unplugged album. to be honest i thought he sang like he couldnt wait to go to the toilet and sold it for 8 pounds and bought the Boo Radleys album.
Fast forward 6 years to 2000 and I kept seeing Nevermind in the best ever albums list. so i went and bought it and i thought it was a good album, but it didnt make me want to buy any of their rest.

Nirvana were fantastic. Agree that In Utero was better than Nvermind, although Incesticide also had some cool tracks on it.

bleach and incesticide were the best.

in utero was crap as they didn't keep the steve albini mix.

nevermind ceased to be good in 94.

and people shouldn't feel bad for kurt cobain. because of him we have the crappy band known as the foo fighters. (i'm sorry, i know you people love them but they are SOOOO m.o.r.!) kris noveselic is rad, but that's cos he's croation.

i must agree.
The reason young un's like nirvana is probably because a lot of them are forming bands, and as other people will know, their songs (come as you are, teen spirit) are simple songs to start off learning. that is why i am slowly begining to get extreemly tired of high-pitched, pubeless kids ripping a decent song to shreds.

foo's are better and dave grohl is a better musician than kurt cobain

kurt cobain was a better song writer though. there are loads of good song writers who are horrible musicians... there are also good musicians who can't write good songs.

i won't ellaborate further because i know i have very controversial opinions.

they can never be overrated! i like the new track, but i dont thinks its right that new tracks should be released when the bands split up!

I reckon we need a crowbar to wedge the lead singer of Puddle of Mudd off of Kurt Cobains dick

That's a good idea but I'm sure there's a law against that somewhere!
