So I've just downloaded this because Kazaa was being an arse and I've set it all up etc etc. Found the tracks I wanted and started downloading but then had to log-off. Came back and now the buggers wont start downloading again. This is probably because there aint enough sources or whatever but if anyone knows if I'm doing something wrong could you please let me know?!

Ah sometimes its like that - always pick the song with the largest number of sources to download a song from, so that if you get disconnected you have better chances of getting it back. I mean I doubt its your fault, but that half songs stored so hopefully if you keep retrying you might get it,

Win MX, is, in my opinion, far far far far far better than Kazaa and all other such liek programs, it downloads much faster (Due to the way it handles/manages files, has more files/ looks better, is more comprehensive etc etc... just my opinion though

The thing that annoys me a little about WinMx is the bloody "Remotely Queued" bit - especially when it's on "96" or something stupid.

well i havent got broadband so i think win mx was a bit more awkward because some people didnt stay online long enough for you to dl off whereas kazaa was a bit better at finding users to dl off, if one disconnected. however if i did have broadband i think i would prefer win mx because you can see who will be quickest to dl from.

for now i'm going to stick with kazaa.

Err but on Kazaa you still get "Remotely Queued" so it doesn't really matter from that aspect.

I downloaded kazaa lite but it said the zip archive was corrupt.

I'm still using kazaa at the moment, but I don't like the idea of all this 'spyware' anybody know exactly what it does?

spyware is just included code that sends information about your internet surfing habits back to Kazaa HQ and they sell it on to parteners

some people think its an invasion of there privacy

you can also get a program from panicware called pop up stopper but ad aware is very good.
