Would it be possible to have some sort of auto refresh built into the forum pages? I know it's not exactly hard to either press F5 or click refresh, but if I've walked away from my pc it'd be good to see if posts had been made recently. I know they have it on the bbc football pages for obvious reasons.

Maybe there is a setting within my browser (Opera) that I don't know about? Not picking holes by the way, just curious if it'd had been tried before on here?!

It'd be extremely annoying.

Opera has a built in auto-refresh system. Right click somewhere on the page that isn't a link, image or input box and there should be a 'Reload Every' sub-menu, from which you can select the refresh interval.

Suppose what's annoying for some, isn't for others. I'd find it useful.

Many thanks Console, I'll give that a try.

FireFox has an add-on which auto-refreshes too... several set times or you can custom set a time for each page you visit
