Will it be Scott Mills? Most likely if they want the safe option. Colin Murray has time on his hands. Will they get Eddy Monkey Boy Temple Moriss as he has that annoying "deejay" voice that Radio 1 used to use on their jingles. Will they go for the jugular and get in Cat Deeley or Edith Bowman, both whom have left Capital. The choices are endless. What would you prefer, an internal person or a complete change. You cant really mess around the format really. Its the top 40. People listen to it to hear whats number 1. They dont want celebrity interviews. Thats why noone listens to backstage with Wajesh Merchantofvenice.

yeah they could have an automated voice for all it matters. someone who would be honest about the crap songs would be good but unlikely. dale winton i say.....

i think that them taking the pee out of the crap records would get them into trouble cos people would think they are tryin to fix the chart (well even more than they are doing now with their playlist)

I think someone new and cheesy would be well suited to the post. I's a very traditional "It's 17 Radio 1 minutes past four, new entry in at number 38 this week pop-pickers..." kinda show, and as you said Bob, I don't think it would go down to well if you messed around with the style of it too much it.

If you used a current DJ it would alter the way you listen to their main show as you'd always have in the back of your mind "this is the top 40 voice." Someone new and fresh methinks...

Last night was refreshing and taste of thigns to come. Sad matter of fact that Foxy's lying Poopsi chart has more phonecalls to stars, guests and giveaways.

Cat Deeley is a good shout, it's only a matter of time before the bbc sign her up good and proper. Fame Acamedy has given her a primetime vehicle that ITV has yet to give her.

replace the cox with CAT

Well I recon they'll stop doing the top 40, and replace it with a repeat of the previous Saturday's R&B chart...

they are revamping it (how exactly I don't know) at the start of next year, until then it will be guest presenters (current Radio 1 DJ's)

The Top 40 should be presented with absolutely no individual slant from the presenter.
Mark Goodier was perfect for this, and will be very difficult to replace.
It should be left as it is; for God's sake surely we can make up our own minds about the records without some snide remarks from a DJ.

Would Scott Mills do 7 days a week? I doubt it, he does some hours, that bloke, especially when he does both his and Sara Cox's show 'cos she rings in ill at the last minute. Anyway, he's wasted on a show where you can't voice your opinions.

Vicky Marsden! Unlikely, but very sexy voice. However, having seen the avatar you had a while back, definitely a face for radio!

But that's something your favourite DJ duo do.
