It may be the Thames river, depending on how you view the question. Actually, I would say the longest in England is the Thames.

Do we know how much of the Severn is in England? If it's less than the length of the Thames then I would say the answer is the Thames as well, based on that table.

(By the way madhorse, I love your source website, far better than Wiki!)

Ahem, the answer is whatever is on Rob's sheet...

Anyway, I'm sure the question was 'the longest river ENTIRELY in England

I agree that the answer is whatever is on Rob's sheet...but if we're going to adopt that, then we should also adopt the bit where everyone argues about it afterwards anyway!

But thats not really an accurate way of putting it. More precisely, whatever is on Rob DJs sheet is what will earn you the point. The fact remains that on regular occasions, what's on Rob's sheet is actually NOT the answer!

No, if its factually incorrect its absolutely NOT the correct answer - but it IS the required response. Ner.

Just watched it back - the question was "what's the longest river WHOLLY in England". Rachel said that twice, then the team clarified it further with "entirely".
