Next week is the last week before a holiday for Chris

Week commencing Aug 3rd is hosted by Scott Mills (Greg doing drive time)

Week commencing Aug 10th is hosted by Vernon Kay (Scott doing drive time, Greg in early breakfast)

Are the BBC experimenting for future breakfast host? Or is Vernon simply doing more work for his money?
It's good news IMO, only 1 week of Scott

Week commencing August 3rd Vernon is busy in Ibiza, week commencing the 10th Scott needs to be on afternoons as he is doing his musical, hence why the two are sharing the slot and not one / the other doing it.

Don't know about the first bit (isn't the new extension a year?), but I agree with the second bit.

So when Vernon does his week stint will he be doing it on his own? Cos of all the times i'm aware of him covering the breakfast show, he's had Dom, Carrie, Dave etc with him?

I'm going to take a punt and suggest the opposite.

For one, Aled has previous stated that he'll be producing the shows that week.

Additionally, if memory serves, whilst the show was off air for a fortnight last summer (2008), Chris spent one of those weeks recording WDYTYA for the BBC which was not classed as holiday. Therefore, if he is still owed a week off but the team are not, this may be the opportunity to finally redress the balance.

Most of the team did because of the way the programme works, but I remember Dom and Carrie working for Newsbeat in the first week of the new year.

I believe Aled will still be producing as he is still at work. Isn't it the same week as the 'Switch tour' - therefore Aled won't be on holiday anyway. So it's possible the rest of the team will be off for both weeks, except Aled

I think you'll find its back to Scott doing the whole 2 weeks when Chris takes his next holiday in october

For those of you who aren't a fan of either DJ (personally I like Vernon but not a big fan of Mills), keep an eye on the archive, I have managed to copy over several vintage shows (afternoons, Saturday & breakfasts) and will be editing a few tonight (night in for a change) and some more over the week. I shall also edit Carrie's Wimbledon show as well, for those of you who enjoyed it but don't want/need the visual version.

Expect to see one tonight
