The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

I can't listen to Wogan either. Can't understand a word he mumbles, and he has more affectations and gimmicks than Scott Mills. Radio 2 have some great presenters, I often wonder what they'll do after Wogan falls off his chair - will they go with another presenter to suit the audience that's already there, or will they shake it up a bit?

I found the article I was looking for before - it was an interview with Mark Kermode:
Although no contracts have been signed, the general assumption is that, within two years, Mayo will be doing Radio 2 drivetime instead of Chris Evans, who will step in at breakfasts on 2, with Sir Terry Wogan moving to weekends. This would be a rare broadcasting reshuffle in which everyone gets a slot they want, with the only dangling question being whether Mayo will continue with Kermode.

That would be great - a half decent alternative to Chris when he's off and a brilliant drive time show.

Thats a shame to see the gap widen a little, hopefully at least one RAJAR before Moyles finishes on breakfast will bump past Wogan.
Looking back its a pity Chris dident go for Strictly, the level of publicity that brings would be a pretty good bet in adding another 4-5%

I'm not so sure why the difference in listening figures are so important when they're that high. Moyles has his listeners, Wogan has his. I'm pretty sure if they all met up in a room there would be a vast difference in demographics. It's just good to see that in general the figures are that high - They both must be doing something right!

Aled seemed fairly happy on Twitter with the results of the figures anyway...

Congrats Radio 1! More people listening to the station than at any point in the last 9 years. (so proud!)

Interestingly enough Capital Fm Breakfast (with Johnny & Lisa) is the most listened to Breakfast show in London, with Wogan 2nd & Moyles 3rd, obviously my fellow Londoners have no taste ;)

I still don't trust the figures. When the new method of getting the figures comes out, I think the figures will drop dramatically.

Just realised I used the word figures three times in two sentences. Hmmmm. Figures.

Why do we have to have the same conversation every time the figures are about to be (or have just been) announced?

Am i right in thinking that rajar don't count under 15s? If so, then Moyles' ratings would beat Wogans surely? As i doubt under 15's listen to Wogan.

Yeah that's right. Which I guess also creates problems with Radio 1 being outside the target demograhpic, with no one under 15 counted you would suspect the actual demograhpic is swayed to much.

I must admit Im surprised that the channel 4 show didnt boost Chris's ratings more.Doesnt bode well for the next set of figures I suppose...

He's right, I only listen to Radio 1 for Edith Bowman because she's Scottish. As soon as Gordon Brown is no longer PM I also plan to emigrate.

I only listen to Radio One cos Bonanzoid listens to it.

He sets my level of cool.
