Thought somebody here might be able to help me, if I have a song recorded on my minidisc, how do I go about recording it onto my computer?

I've got an optical cable line thing, do I need to dl a program to do it for me?

Cheers :)

Unless you have a fancy soundcard the digital optical lead wont work. You need a 3.5mm jack lead, plug on end into your minidisc head phones and one into your line in. Then you can use audiograbber to make it into mp3.

Indeed or use cool edit pro to capture, and then convert using CDEX or summat....

i use a 3.5mm jack to jack cable from my MD headphone socket to the line in on my PC, record in cool edit (pro, version2) and save as mp3.

either that or I'll do it in the studio at work
