Johnny i looked on wikipedia and the galaxy stations are all being rebranded or something by capital so they will be nationwide in January but still with local adverts.

Yeah I checked myself a few minutes ago, strange really, although I'm pleased Capital FM as a brand is remaining (it is the second oldest commercial station still on air, the other being LBC) I don't really like the idea of doing away with local stations. However the local stations do need a kick up the arse they have become terrible over the last 10 years, Capital used to be an excellent station in the 70's, 80's & 90's. It would be nice to have an alternative to Radio 1 as well, especially when the Cotton is on.

That's OK, honestly I had no idea all of that was going on with Capital FM, hope it's a success, for the brands sake, it'd be shame to lose an almost 40 year old brand due to idiocy.

I like Chris Evans but that he has a problem with Chris is well documented - so its hardly surprising that he's taken the opportunity to do a bit of stirring.

How much truth there is in the rumours is something that will only become clear over time - and if you add to them Chris's reference this morning to a possible Radio 2 deal, you get an even murkier pool. But he's obviously going to move on at some point, and given that however much he loves his job, he's increasingly (it seems) got problems with "management", I wouldn't be at all surprised to see it happen at the end of this current contract, and I wouldn't be surprised if it involves a move away from the BBC.

Personally I hope he goes to Radio 2, because I hate commercial radio, but what will be will be.
