Can someone who actually saw it (Ballbag?) please tell me how the programme showed this couple presenting a product for investment consideration without theproduct actually being shown? I'm still intrigued by that, it seems unusual because you usually get to see the product on that show.

Hey there

I have been an avid Moyles fan for years and have always appreciated and even laughed at his digs and jibes at people and find him extremely funny. However when he hits out at someone who is a mate you suddenly stop smiling. Ok Martin and Sue are different and are celebrated for that fact and the way they got picked on, on the programme and this morning was well overboard.

They have a great set up (Ive seen it!) and their products are amazing and just to point out they would not be allowed to trade if they did not have the necessary certificates from the authorities so throwing a jibe about food poisoning is nasty to say the least! They have worked extremely hard over the last few years and long may it continue! Martin is a great chef and comes up with some excellent combinations! the old addage is "don't knock it till you have tried it!"

and no... I am not Martin, or Sue, or any relation... just a loyal customer!

Hmmm.... Mr sweaty pits, how many log-in accounts are you going to create? Trying to get on the show?
lol, only one m8, its easy to find out which PC's accounts are created from, though i have mentioned on other forums i use and others said they would pop in and have a look, please dont resort to name calling its quite imature really aint it :) , the products werent shown as the people who edited the prograsmme chose to do it that way

I find text speak quite immature too. Good to see you've got your gang of loyal supporters too. But the fact is, if you go on national television looking like a stig, then you're going to get picked up on it.

Good luck with your product though, and as I said, there aint no such thing as bad publicity, so stop whining. You're going to well out of this.

As a fan of the big guy I cannot comment on the content of this mornings show, as someone has already said he will pick up on something that he deems has comedic value and will exploit it, after all, he only saw what we saw.

But as a regular customer of Martin and Sue I can only say, what an injustice they did to you both on Dodgey Dealers Den !!

" Any publicity is good publicity " ???????????? Publicity for what ???? How can this be true when there was hardly any mention of the fantastic product, or the business, that Martin and Sue went on the TV to promote ?

I know for a fact that during the preparation of their products, every health and hygiene law and guideline is adhered to. All of their products are tested to the highest standards, and the packaging is second to none. Not one mention of all this was shown on this degrading program.

They resorted to defamation and ridicule, and martin and Sue were made the subject of the producers` need for straight guys to their distastefull and pathetic jokes.

As far as I am concerned the rubbish (dressed as an authentic healthy snack) you can buy in most supermarkets, is like used toilet roll with more E`s than a night out at a rave.

The mistake they made was assuming that the makers of Dragons Den are making a programme in order to promote anyone's products. Thats not what the show is about at all. Why would they do that? Its a format to entertain a prime time TV audience. The hook they use to do this is having these incredibly astute and successful entrepreneurs offer their own money to bankroll the occasional sure thing - but the entertainment value, the whole point of any TV show surely, is the fun they have weeding out the jokers.

Anyone who thinks that going on a television show is the answer to their problems is not bright enough to warrant financial backing by anyone.

it was drilled into us over and over again that this was a good way to promote our business by the people at DD we talked to, yes we were naive, yes we walked into it but thats still no excuse for the heavy editing and to the best of our recolection having pertinant bits added on that we werent involved in that give the impression we were involved in (have to use the term carefully on our soliciters advice :) ), we were also asked to ditch other TV programmes we were involved in such as Local Food hero's and Britains Best Dish . Im trying not to post on here as some of the posters are ever so slightly forward with their comments when they have zero idea about they are talking about and reducing their comments to being rather rude to get a rise, pretty weak really when you have to stand infront of a camera with 5 people doing their best to make you lose your rag on TV name calling on here is just so lame PMSL :?

It can be a good way to promote the business, and has been for a lot of people; but if the business is viewed by the "dragons" as "uninvestable", then they will tell you so. These, as Yudster has said, are extremely astute, shrewd people and successful businessmen. They are using their own money; if something is not worth the investment, quite simply, they won't invest.

Anybody who goes on a television program and expects the producers to have their best (or any of) their interests at heart, deserves everything they get. Dragon's Den is founded on the same premise as X Factor, Jeremy Kyle and all the other dross featuring members of the public which gets such good audiences these days.

The only product on these programes is the participants or contestants. They will be used as cannon fodder for enterntainment values, with not the slightest regard to the goals of that person / act / business / other (delete as applicable).

Any so-called business person who enters a program like Dragon's Den believing that they can use it to their own advantage shows a naivety that would certianly make me question their self-proclaimed business sense. Caveat emptor et venditor.

Hey Martin, George here from ipswich.

Just wanted to say your product is great and i will certainly be buying more from you in the future.

Maybe Moyles should try before he makes a joke.

Not bigging martin up, hes far too punk for that. Just pointing out that his product that wasnt really looked at by dragons den and subsequently moyles comments arent based on any fact other than martins appearence. the bottom line is that the beef jerky martin happens to create is really good.

That's all i was trying to say.

As pretty much all of Moyles' comments were about his 'appearence' (sic) I really can't think anything better he could based his opinions on.

Give it up. You chose to go on the show, and now you're not happy because it hasn't worked out as expected. If you can't handle the flak that invariably goes with putting yourself on primetime national media, you shouldn't have done it in the first place.

I'm sick and tired of hearing gameshow contestants whining about how they are unfairly edited and badly portrayed. That's the deal - everybody knows it (or should) before they get into it, we've been hearing about it for years. If you can't handle it, don't get involved - but don't put yourself out there, and then start moaning after the fact.

we dont have a problem with how we were treated, we walked in eyes wide open, yes we were screwed but your right, we werent forced , BUT they actualy added footage that was filmed after we left the Den, not legal, especialy when they showed us answering the comment that was not made when it was filmed, not dodgy editing but actualy added footage, so how about you get over someone haveing a legit moan about that

Moyles has slagged of this site (and it's users) loads of times, it's what he does and it's why we like listening to him.

Martin Cowley wrote:sycaphant m8, its all you are :D, i pop on here once or twice aday now to see what other immature name calling Ive received

I know this is a stupid point, but calling us immature when you're spelling mate as 'm8' doesn't exactly earn you much respect, especially around here; we have a no text-talk policy, so I should be grateful if you would actually spell out the word.

In which case go and moan to your lawyer instead of on a Chris Moyles forum, it would be far more productive.

As per my original point - tough. If that's the worst you get, you'll have come out of it very well. It sounds to me like you should have never taken part in the first place, as you clearly can't handle the fallout. You're certainly doing yourself no favours by the way you're conducting yourself on this board.

Crikey... for once I agree with Console.

Martin Cowley, you're grammar and prose is appalling, your arguments are contradictive and in general you're talking balls. So not only would I have not purchased your "goods" due to the image you present but now I am also turned further away by your annoyance.

Stop whinging, stop trying to get a mention on the show and buy a hat to cover up that brush on your head.

yep i did, i was sitting with my, wife n daughter having breakfast :) , sorry about the text speak, i wont use it anymore, slightly ironic im told off for using it as i also hate it but dont realise im doing it sometimes, so again, sorry and will desist. :) , but you say this board etc gets a slagging off, all well n good, but if you personaly were picked out and had some very rude, not in the slightest bit funny said about you, that has directly lost me business , one customer ( pub landlord) stopped an order as his customers in the pub were taking the micky about jerky made by a "fat sweaty bloke" and the chap in question isnt a m8, hes a right miserable bugger with no sense of humour,so he just stopped the order, so its not just a little gripe or mioan, im very angry about it
