.........You think??!! :D

D'oh, after listening to a bit more of the show I don't think I needed to say that.

Ok, I'll give you that. But do you not carry the conversation off where you left off?

I just think the show was so fake and awkward today.

I love the fact that he's sticking two fingers up to someone who obviously had pop at him for his timings etc! A very subtle '* you, the show's better my way!'

Agree. Absolutely. When I switched on at 0630 this morning, I was wondering what on Earth was going on at first.

Reminded me a bit of Mills' show and the fact that every link is punctuated by a song when you'd like the banter to continue.

I think this was all due to the fact that Moyles didn't play a single song in a whole half hour of radio yesterday (unheard of for Radio 1).

I'm in agreement with Yudster on this one...I liked the sarcasm with which it was done...after all no radio show can be exactly spot on for the news every single time, but I would still like it to stop, and a happy return for the format we know and love tomorrow.

Well hopefully he's made his point.

This I did not realise. Hopfully today has just been a one-off response to a specific bollocking about that then, so it shouldn't become the norm.......

I didn't realise that either.

There are 2 topics going for the same subject. Madness. I like a bit of madness tho'.

Well, it was during your favourite part of yesterday's show, so your probably wouldn't have noticed.

I didn't hear it but even if I had been listening at that time, I probably wouldn't have registered that a half hour had passed without a record being played (unless they mentioned at the time). I don't listen for the music, it's incidental.

They did mention it, but you're right - I hadn't noticed either. Definitely noticing it today though, I'm having to go to my mplayer window more and skipping them all. I think he's playing double what he usually does.

As I've said before, even on the rare occasions that the playlist has something that isn't crap, I listen to The Chris Moyles Show for Chris Moyles (and the team) - I don't listen for the music. I can listen to music (that's music that I actually want to listen to) whenever I want.

What Console said. I make a point of not actually listening to the show live so that I can skip through the music when listening to a recorded version.

You find it annoying that I choose to skip over the music (a choice which in no way affects you)? I can't say I'm surprised.

Vivienne wrote:It means you are unaware of what's "happening" out there.

No, it doesn't. It means that I know what's 'happening' out there and want very little part of it. Most of today's music is crap. There are a few good songs, but most of the time, they're not good enough to trawl through all of the crap for. Saying that though, I still manage to hear 'new music' - the radio isn't the only way of hearing music, after all.

Music is a big part of my life too Viv, and I like it when Moyles plays an ace record cos it gets me going in the morning.

But even so, I listen mostly for the banter.

I guess it depends if you like the songs on the playlist enough to hear them over and over again.

I don't think it means that i'm 'unaware of what's happening' - I listen to Zane Lowe for all that. Chris Moyles is definitley all about the chat for me.

No it doesn't. The news does that. Besides, just because it's in the chart show doesn't mean it's in anyway "cool". Nor does it represent what everyone out there likes out there - it just shows what music has been bought or downloaded.
