The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

As an American, I found it hilarious when he tried to explain baseball and its traditions. Also when he talked about going to the movies and everyone clapping and cheering. (BTW most Americans don't do this and this show is the first I've heard of it)

Also its funny when Chris talks about Cousin Brucie because sometimes I'll be flipping through on Sirius and finding Cousin Brucie. His impression is pretty good because Cousin Brucie is really that ridiculous.

When I was in South Carolina a couple of years back we went to see a film, and that was full of cheery whoopy people, and we even had the over excited commentator behind us too!

PS - You got your mention on air Viv, well done.

You're a bloke!!! Well I guess you're who Chris was talking about when he played the jingle at about 7.45ish this morning

Yeah, it made me laugh. Although I do get annoyed when Chris only seems to mention the negative things on here. Apart from complimenting the sound vault, he never seems to mention the good things we say; like when we stick up for him when new people come on and just slate in their first post or the fact that some of us come on here everyday to talk to other CM fans and sometimes just talk and debate about the show. To me that's what I call being a fan! Especially as some of us on here have followed him from day 1. But no, that doesn't get mentioned.
The things I love about the show definitely out-weighs the things I hate. If I think about it; there are only 2 things I hate about the show; that jingle and the fact that he always rudely interupts people. However I love everything else about the show.
Plus, does he really expect constant positive feedback just because we're "fans"? If anything I think it's good when we pick up on the small things; it shows we take notice on everything. Instead he moans about us moaning. But I guess any publicity is better than no publicity. I just wish it was more positive for a change.

*sigh*

Moyles clearly picks up on the negative things because it provides him with material. A fan site that doesn't actually like its subject is funny.

True.

I guess if we liked everything Chris did we'd be just like UM, and nobody wants that!

I went to see Shrek while I was in Florida and everyone went mad at the end!

You talk as though Baseball is American. It isn't - it is mentioned in a very famous English novel written in 1798. Whilst an informal childrens game called baseball can be traced in the US in the 18th century, it is likely to have been a derivation of the game known to have been popular in England, possibly also elsewhere in Europe. The game of baseball as you now know it didn't really take off until the second half of the 19th century. I'm happy to explain its history and traditions further, if you like?!

I guess, but it would be nice to get some credit for the 90% (?) of posts that are totally supportive. It's quite common for someone's biggest fans to also be their biggest critics, so I don't see why he is so surprised with some constructive criticism - I'd like to think he'd be able to take it without having to make a big deal of it on the radio - funny or not.

Oh I'm sure it was a joke; but it does get rather irritating when the only credit the site gets is negative credit.

But it's part of what Moyles does, it's why we love him so much.

To be fair, it does give a negative biased to those that are new. I came on here expecting you all to moan about the show all the time, purely because I had not read anything and I only had what Chris said on the show to go on. In fact, I probably delayed coming on to this message board because of that. The truth is, you're all much friendlier than that image suggests!

Better still, you all seem to have a similar sense of humour to myself. But then so does Chris, so that's to be expected.

Hmm I didn't know that. But I meant it was funny because he really didnt get it and moreover the traditions.

Thats weird. It definitely doesn't happen where I live. I think I would be just as surprised as he was if people cheered.

EDIT: I've seen people cheer at the end of movies but never in the middle like he was talking about.

Oh, I was on about the end. They cheered at the end, a lot.

Is that because they were thankful the film had ended?

Probably because they thought it was a good movie or something like that.
