someone on here came up with a thread filter..... i laughed, but asked is there such thing?

Someone came up with the idea, I knocked up a quick SQL query which would pretty much do the job by going through the authors table in the board database and remove any threads started by Mr Dion and Pond Life

you learn to be able to judge by the thread title and author whether there's much point in looking at it.

I used to do that too, but sometimes people start discussing something in the thread that is completely different to the subject.
eg. Topic title 'CELEBRITY E-MAILS' turns into a conversation about Daphne and Celeste having bottles of urine thrown at them.

Yeah but Joke time, is still Jokes, But yeah, after two/three pages then the subject is entirely different, so I usually skim through the most of the threads.
