I love Daves quizzes. Father Quizmas is a particular fav of mine.

Ill give this a try way before the breakfast show for the older members. Do you remember Chris would regular, maybe daily in the afternoon show (or was it Saturdays?) have a, well, not very mentally well chap phone up to have a brief mundane chat and then play Londons Burning on his recorder? A regular feature on his show at the time. Bit of a mock and very un PC which was probably the reason it was a feature that just quietly disappeared.

Was that David The Photographer? At least I think his name was David. But he was definitely a photographer.

Westwood with Where Am I?

Chris doing his South Park voice for Mason Musso - "I'm Mason Musso of Metro Station..." always cracks me up

Not exactly a "moment", but the time when Dave lost his wedding ring in Florida and there was an international campaign to recover it was truly great radio I thought.

On the air, my favorite moment is... oh, so hard to choose. Chris ranting over Aled not getting any Toby LaRone clips earlier this year, the internal phone system, the birthday shows (all of them!), the marathon show...
And for the podcasts... there were a few podcast-only podcasts.. my favorite moment will always be "Celebrityyy... Celebrityyy... CELEBRITYYY.... Cough!" xD That ident always has me laughing.

My favourite part is Dave dropping his chips. I can't remember the exact show but it's on Carrie's final podcast. A listener sees Dave dropping his chips at a train station and texts in, they rip Dave about it and the person then sends a photo of Dave crouched on the floor picking them up. I don't know why it makes me laugh so much, but it's always tickled me and I will laugh at it no matter how many times I hear it. Also, Carrie at Wimbledon, Toby Lerone chats, Chris and Dave tricking Dom into thinking U2 were on the line, Dave's Indian loyalty card, the team in Carlisle (my hometown) and Dave's (numerous) gaffs, the team in L.A (especially Dave and Dom looking for celebrities houses). Thinking about it, most of my favourite moments are of Dave making a fool of himself!

No idea where to start.

I used to always like it when Dave "went" to a football ground on a Friday to build up to the weekend's football action and they'd have the time delay between questions and answers. Or was that afternoon show?

Guess Who always entertained me.

Getting to participate in the Monday Night Pub Quiz one day.

The marathon show was unbelievable. The amount of time I spent watching the red button was beyond unhealthy and found myself listening to shows I never normally would like Kissy Sell Out. Watcing Moyles and Zane Lowe mime along to Bon Jovi was brilliant. You could see Chris was starting to lose his mind.

I could go on forever but I have work to do...

The Dave dropping his chips story is from the 9th February 2010 show! Don't think it is in the sound vault! http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b006wkqb/episodes/2010

Thanks! At least I will be able to hear the full clip now! :)

Parodies have always been my favourite. I'm fairly certain the first time I noticed Chris Moyles on the radio was when he was singing the Martine McCutcheon parody, Perfect Motor. From that all the way up to Don't Call Me Baldy, they've been a consistent (if sometimes infrequent) part of the show.

Weirdly, one of the first times I noticed the afternoon show was when they were playing the Billie parody She Wants Stew.
#469253
I think the best parody is 'This is Guff' - the Basshunter one. Mainly as I thought BH's effort were complete and utter tripe, so the parody lyrics found favour with me.

I'm also fairly sure I first came to chrismoyles.net trying to find the parody! Still there by the way...

http://chrismoyles.net-mirror.cluster.n ... -motor.mp3

If he did that parody when the song was number 1, that means I first listened to Chris Moyles in April 1999. Which is ages ago, and yet still later than quite a few people on here!
