If Chris tweets about enjoying his lunch, i'll assume a Chef career, m'thinks.

To be fair who cares if he's being a bully? Its only harmless playground bullying. Call me a bellend all you like. Won't bother me in the slightest.

That is possibly the wrongest thing I've ever read. Playground bullying can be and is far from 'harmless'.

The thing is that CJ isn't breaking any rules. If Chris (Harris) decides to ban him on the grounds that he's causing disharmony on the board, then that's his call, but I can't make that decision. He's had one official warning about posting in Ask Aled and everything else I've said is really just me acting as a fellow poster rather than as a mod.

It's not even that. At best it's someone disagreeing with another's opinion. I think I've made one personal insult to him in the past and the rest of the time just call him out on the speculation he posts.

From where I'm standing it's a clear cut case of online bullying. Some of the posts you have commented on wouldn't have had a peep of a response if they weren't made by chrisjames, therefore you are singling him out and bullying him.

No it's a forum and I respond to everyone, that's what a forum is for. I'm disagreeing with something you're saying so am I bullying you? Just because I don't like him and disagree with him it's not bullying. If I sent him threatening private messages then I'd see your point but I am not. I don't swear at him and generally just stick to calling him out on the shite he comes out with. If he is allowed to speculate on things without proof I and others should be allowed to question him.

OK - having read back a bit, I am prepared to retract the blanket statement of online bullying and concede that there have only been a couple of posts by you (in the recent period I looked back on) that could be described as bullying. But that's still a couple:

Deadly wrote:Ok I'll say this in a calm way... You are a twat.

And one final quote that I firmly believe would never have got a response if it weren't by chrisjames - not least because it was relevant:
In response to this:
chrisjames wrote:Looks as thuogh they want a totally clean break from Moyles style when Grimmy takes over with no more special sung jingles just normal station jingles by the sound of it .. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment ... WEET194679

PS the new show wil be called 'The Radio One Breakfast Show with Nick Grimshaw'.. so again look s like new show will not be as personality led as Moyles show so Nick is going to be very limited in what he can say and do I think.Sounds to me like it's going to be heavily music led with m inimum speech just like the other daytime shows

Deadly wrote:What's the big deal?

Not saying that one is bullying, just... needless criticism that could easily have been ignored.

Having said all that - it is remarkable how many times you reply to him or mention him with some derogatory comment or other (it is probably this which led me to have the impression of bullying) and as others have said, you could easily put him on your foes list. Please do, then we won't have to read your seemingly constant wittering about him.

"what's the big deal" was a response to the content of the post he made, which was definitely a valid one. It was directed purely at the BBC considering the jingle story newsworthy. The other two you pointed could be deemed offensive and was told off for.

I will not be responding to anything he says as of now to avoid a repeat of this.

I'm now in the same situation as badger (not in thinking that you're all *. I only think that some of you are), where the only time I see chrisjames' name is when someone else mentions it as he's on my block list.

Spamming the 'Ask Aled' thread was wrong - especially when the show is about to end, but can't we draw a * line under this whole thing and just agree not to fall for it?

It's like switching the radio to TalkSport and getting angry at what they're saying - or reading the Daily Mail and complaining about the poor quality of non-journalism. If the point is that people enjoy telling chrisjames to shut up and belittling him, then if that's your thing - fine. Continue, as long as it's within the board rules there's nothing anyone can do but judge.

If the point is that people want him to stop posting speculation (something a lot of people do, just not in the volume or obscurity that he does) then JUST * IGNORE IT.

Trolls: Need for attention -> Lack of affable personality -> Can only receive negative attention -> Aggrevates a community to have them talk about him > Receives attention -> THIS.

You know what's more boring than chrisjames' boring posts?

LISTENING TO PEOPLE TALK ABOUT HIM AND HIS BORING POSTS.

I've probably broken a couple of forum rules there, but I'll happily take a ban if need be as I'm off on holiday for the next 5 days. I'm actually in a fantastic mood

^that.

What's the board for if it's not for speculation and discussion? Is he not allowed to speculate about things but other people are? He may be annoying to some, but it seems to me that a group of people are going out of their way to try to be annoyed whenever possible, whereas more tolerance is given to other posters.

If you think he's a prat, ignore him. If you don't want to see his posts, block them (the forum allows this).

If you have a valid reason to complain about a post, then report it and I will consider it.

chrisjames wrote:Could this tweet from Chris signal future plans I wonder..

' Congratulations to my pal and brilliant morning radio disc jockey @hirstydose for being on air for 20 years. He started aged 4 like I did! '

Simon Hirst does the breakfast show on Capital Yorkshire. Could Chris be considering a move to Capital?

There is nothing in the above post to get worked up about.

I made a post speculating about Chris Moyles future career plans on a thread that was set up to discuss his future career plans. It's not me that's gone massively off topic!

If I promise to stop posting after sep 14 can we have an amnesty for the next 3 weeks and try to get along?!

Oh, I should have added, someone who constantly whines and says they are going to leave and then doesn't is doing nothing but trying to get attention. As such it's annoying and I'm likely to help you on your way if you keep it up.
