Seems to me like he got promoted. On Chris' show he was assistant producer whereas with Nick Grimshaw he is the main producer.

Matthew Bannister was talking about it on 5 Live last night as I drove home too if anyone's interested in listening again / clipping - I don't know the 5 Live schedule very well, but it must have been this show and given that it started at 16.00, I'd say I started listening around 1 hour 45 minutes-ish in and they were already discussing it.
