Has anyone mentioned yet that Dominic doesn't write the news bulletin himself? They mentioned it in the show when Chris joked about the Radio X news story.

So with someone from the Global News Room writing the news, I guess it's fair to say that Dom will play a more active part in the show. During Radio 1 he had to go off and write the news which mostly left Dave with Chris. So I guess we'll be hearing more from Dom!

Haven't heard the part you mean yet, but he mentioned Johnny a couple of times. When he was explaining the "it's not a radio Yorkie bar", he mentioned that it was news to Johnny Vaughan. He also had a little chat about him with Noel, saying that he won't be doing TalkSport anymore.

I heard Johnny 'Yaun' mentioned but they can't really still dislike each other now surely...?

Also it was awkward while Noel was talking up Johnny when all Chris wanted was Noel to be dismissively funny about him.

When he said that you can listen to the show on the website, anyone else expect to hear him and Dave say "ONLINE!" together?
Almost seemed wrong that it didn't happen.

Listening to the show now, and I like it.
It'll probably take a while for them all to settle into it, but at the very least, both Chris and Dom are the same as they always were, regardless of time away.
I think it's going to be a great show.

Didn't manage to listen to the entire show this morning but from what i heard it sounded really good, didn't sound like too much has changed and great to see Pippa & Dom back with him. Be interesting to see how Dave intergrates with the team and i give it a month before we've all taken him into our Chris Moyles Family...

It was a refreshing take on the old show. It's going to be different but similar to the old. The new team will mold over time I'm sure. It's the first show, they had a crazy day. give them some time when the dust off a new radio show settles and they'll be fine. I'm quite excited!

Have to say am really missing Dave from the show. Had hoped their disagreement had been a bit over exaggerated and had been blown out of proportion but am starting to think its very deep seeded. No good luck tweet or anything from Dave to Dom or Chris, no mention or reference of Dave on the show today which considering they had someone else on the show called Dave, I thought quite strange. Also had a feeling calling the new Dave 'Madam' was maybe a way of getting away from having a Dave on the show and confusing people. Thought Chris had implied in his interview with the Sun that he had talked to Dave about coming back but he was too busy with his production company, though am doubting this and am wondering was Dave ever approached by Chris. Really sad that one of the greatest radio partnerships of our time ended like this. I hope against hope that someday they make up and Dave can come into the show.

Only caught the final few minutes of the show this morning - I woke up as he played Parklife, which happens to be one of my favourite songs ever - so decided to reserve commenting till I'd played the entire thing back.

What a cracking opening show! Chris seems to have as much enthusiasm as ever, and loving being back. I thought the team have a great vibe with good positivity - and the atmosphere seemed more intimate and cosy than on the Radio 1 shows. As mentioned already, the show did seem a bit "empty" and devoid of features BUT since it's still so early on and in the initial stages, that doesn't bother me. I think it'll grow and develop naturally over the next few weeks and months.

There were a few classic Moyles LOL moments, and those should get more frequent too. Dom reading the news/sport/weather/more weather/even more weather/speaking French/speaking like Richard Park was brilliant. The Noel chat was a great listen, especially his digs at Bloc Party. Good banter with Vernon too.

Overall it reminded me of the early years of the Radio 1 Breakfast show, just slightly quieter - that should sort itself in due course though.

BRILLIANT to have him back.

Hey everyone, how we doing?

How awesome is not to have Chris back on the radio?

It's going to take a bit of getting used to hearing him with adverts, new jingles and a new team, but after yesterday I have no doubt it will soon settle down and become 'normal'.

It's a shame Dave isn't involved, but it's great to hear Dom again.

Chris sounds as fresh as ever , which is great to hear. And the music they play on X is a lot more to my tastes, so I'm looking forward to this new chapter of radio
