Holy crap, the 8th July 2004 is priceless! I won't spoil it for those who haven't heard it, but it's awesome.
You can almost smell the beer and sweat coming off Dave through the iPod (radio)
Wow, today's replay is the first appearance of Dave's very limited sense of cinema. Dumb and Dumber better than Star Wars? I guess never having bothered to watch Dumb and Dumber I'm really not in a position to debate that topic.

Oh it gets worse since he doesn't like anything set in space, black and white or fantasy basically and likes films that are more realistic. Takes a pot shot at people who play games like myself down the road!

I am just wondering if there is anyone on here who ever liked Celebrity Tarzan? I am on February 2006 now and it started mid January and I think it is worse than Celebrity Raspberry because of the fact there are no clues and it is basically a guessing game moreso than Raspberry. It's been on I believe 3 weeks now and they are only on the 2nd one and it has been on for I think 10 or 11 days now. Also. Classical Class (don't name it that as of yet) started on the 27th January 2006 since Rachel took a month off the drink and they breathalyse (sp?) her each day during that sequence. Looking forward to hearing if she did it or not!

I didn't like it, but I didn't like Raspberry either. What I do/did love is Buzz off though. But I am at November 2004 and it sounds like Chris was just starting to get bored of it. Not sure when it did actually end though.

A couple of shows ago they started RDJMNPQ (although it wasn't called that then) which was ok. It's interesting to listen back to all this and see how these features evolved. Now Carrie has joined it is starting to take on the shape of the show that we ultimately ended up getting. I've absolutely adored 2004 so far though. Genuinely brilliant radio.

Unfortunately it ended at the end of that year, which sucked because I loved Buzz off as well and apart from Where Am I?, is probably my favourite feature they did during that 7:20-7:30 window. They do Sting ring towards the end of the 2005 and it had some funny moments because of the way a few of the callers acted.

2004 was excellent and I think 2005 was good as well. I have to go back to listen to those shows again since there are certain moments that I want to put into an archive for myself and laugh myself silly.

In today's replay at 35 minutes in, Chris says to Dave - "You and I have different views on friendship obviously." It made me think of the alleged reason for the fall out between Chris and Dave.

I loved the part in Tedious Link where Dave said Texas is the biggest state in America and Chris said he had about 1,000 texts mentioning Alaska is.

Some way behind you guys on these... but just had the one where Dave and Chris are arguing over RADAR/SONAR being used for ships navigation, following the Tedious Link... brilliant!

Yep I caught that mistake as well. That's the problem with listening to these old shows, my first urge was to think "I've got to let him know that Texas is NOT the biggest state". I also was chuckling over him stumbling on trying to recover by saying that Texas is the biggest state in the continental US.

Yep - that had me laughing as well. I wonder how pissed off Dom and Jules where over not being allowed to go to Portugal with the team back then. And the East Enders set visit as well just before their first holiday break. If it had been me I would have been VERY unhappy.

Yeah, that happened to them quite a lot over the first few years where whenever they went anywhere, Dom and Juliette and then Carrie would have to stay in the studio to do the news and sport while the rest are somewhere else like New York or Portugal. I don't know if they got to go to Germany with them now since I will be on those shows pretty soon (on March 2006 now). I would have been annoyed to be honest, I couldn't see why they couldn't go with them. Eventualy they did when it came to LA in September 08.

Download it here instead: viewtopic.php?f=56&t=22798

Thank you

You're welcome. I think it's easier downloading the shows from the archive on the site anyway.

Thursday the 21st of June 2007 is a bit awkward. The team are discussing checking partners phones and how Aled may be a bunny boiler. The following news segment is on people calling for greater measures taken to avoid stalking partners committing crimes. Oh dear. :-P

Listened to the June 3 2004 show this morning. For Buzz Off, Chris had picked White Lines by Grand Master Flash. Unfortunately he unknowingly had picked a largely instrumental version and he kept waiting for the song to kick into gear with the vocals and it never came. He was so distressed and disappointed that I was laughing out loud over his reactions and I drew the attention of a couple of people around me as I walked into work. A little embarrassing, but very funny.
