It was merged with this thread, as it's about the same subject. We really didn't need three threads dealing with the songs this morning.

I think the show gained more normality as it went on, Chris only told us about the meeting they had yesterday late on in the show, about 8:45, we were in the dark til then. A part of me thought he might've been angling towards another local radio pisstake, but it was clear that Chris was trying to show people that trying to mould his style to that of a generic radio 1 show does not work, and that the randomness that we all know and enjoy was a fundamental part of the show.

I think its good now though hes proven his point about this, it helps us understand what the show definitely shouldn't be, and reminds me what a cracking 3 and a half hours it is, for this is what I am accustomed to. Rusty may be panicing a bit I think, anyone would think its the end of the world and the site would have to close! He's got us talking thats the main thing, and can resume normal service tomorrow, why wouldn't he?

Highlights for me this morning:

Mel B Bingo (Dave's missus)
The chat about Bin Laden's number 2 in Europe just after 8.
CPC as usual.

Me too! I sometimes find myself agreeing or disaggreeing with Chris and/or the team (out loud) in the car most mornings; and I love that. Going on all the stations I've listened to in the past; I don't believe there is another radio station out there that personally makes me feel as if I'm down the pub with them having a good ol' natter when they're on air.

No you didn't. As can be seen from what are now the first two posts in this thread, you posted your thread about twenty minutes after rustybike's.

When I am able to listen in the day, I don't mind the music either - but Moyles show is different. It's not that I dislike the records, but they aren't necessary on his show (from a listening perspective).

Yeah, apologies for that. I didn't mean to make it sound so much like it was the end. I wanted it to sound like a rant more than anything.
I like my little drive in to work. See, it's bad enough that I have to drive to Crawley with all the other moron drivers everyday full stop, so of course I'd be a bit pished that my little bit of happiness in the mornings might soon be ruined.

Do you mean that "Number 23" film with Jim Carrey?

I haven't seen it. Would you recommend it? I still need to get round to that actually. I love it when Jim Carrey does "proper" acting like The Truman show. That's also a good one!

Console wrote:Still, what does it have to do with this thread?

Was just thinking that...

Certainly worth a watch. Jim Carrey is great in it, and it is a good story (despite being about numerology).

I meant to see it when it was out but didn't get round to it. I probably will be shouted at, but I also like his comedy films. I agree the Truman Show was very good though.

You didn't go to Hazelwick by any chance? I work near by in the EDF Building near Tesco's. Those little blighters from that school make my lunchtime at Tesco's hell.

Wasn't really my choice to be honest, I was 18 and couldn't find a job in Brighton, so I had to expand my choices to Crawley. It's alright really.

I like his comedies too. Liar liar was a good one as was Ace Ventura (first being better than the second)

Ace Ventura is one of the few film series where I preferred the sequel.

I used to go to Hazelwick, left in '98.....was quite a good school.
I drive past that building nearly every day.
