I'm glad I started this thread, this has turned into quite a lively discussion.
I only download music for the following reasons:
1. It's an old song that can't be bought anymore.
2. It's a song that I like, but in my opinion not worth paying £4 for.
3. It's a song that I've heard in a club and can't find in the shops.
If MP3 didn't exist I don't think I'd spend any more money on CDs than I do now, MP3 is just a convenience. I can't listen to MP3s at uni anyway, unless I upload them onto my MP3 player on a weekend at home.
Oh yeah, this is my 500th post, so I'm now a 4 star poster!!
