I remember the broom cupboard with Toby Anstice (prob. wrong spelling) and Gordon the Gopher. During his time as King of the Closet, there was a competition where you could redesign the cupboard. I entered, but was extremely disappointed when they chose some crappy design which included a fist pushing through the back. That was way before the concept of the CBBC Aardvark (once hidden) had been introduced.

Happy memories... :)

I used to have a squeaky Gordon the Gopher, hehe. Tv used to be so good, these days its Sabrina the teenage witch all day every day on nickelodeon. I don't watch it, my lil sis!

I remember when the aardvark was hidden, it was better in them days. He used to be the elusive figure, but he appeared when they moved into the studio. They had a jingle that went something like 'Tell that aardvark, it's a rap!'. I remember when Phillip Schofield used to present it, followed by Phillipa Forester, then Andy Crane, then Andi Peters before moving into the studio. It's never been the same since.

The aardvark had its own special biscuits in its own special tin.

I'm still scared at the revelation that Toby Anstis may be the father of Nicole Appletons baby - that's far more scary than Pat Sharp (there's definitely no e) without a mullet

my favorite childrens bbc person was Chris Jarvis... I think it's him that does the voice over for the domino's pizza's ads on sky one before the simpsons

If you ever have the good fortune to go on a MyTravel plane, you'll notice that Chris Jarvis does a radio show for them called 'punchlines', the in flight magazine declares him the man of a thousand voices. It was truly sad to listen to, but hey it was that or Alan Titchmarsh.
