I hated the sequel, I far preferred the original - the sequel was just too ridiculous.

I totally agree with Rusty, today's show sucked. I listen to the show because it's balance of music and chat swings in the other direction to what every other show, or indeed station, does. The show is funny, totally random, with no set sequence or timing.

Let's be honest, the show is the success it is because of the above mentioned things, changing it would make it a carbon copy of every other show on commercial radio, with the same records being played as the show before, just in a different order. It's poor, it's boring, and too dam predictable.

Before Chris took over the morning show, the rating's were absolute crap, he came along, doing what he does now, and it has worked wonders, Radio 1 should be thanking him for that, not telling him how to run his show, and turning it into a boring, crap, and dull song fest, with a playlist of, let's be honest, tracks that are rammed down our ears day in day out that we are told are good, and 90% of the time, they aren't! If the bosses want to hear more music, tell them to listen to another station that has worse ratings, and mundane radio hosts, and a breakfast show set up that loses out to The Chris Moyles show day in day out.

More chat, fun and banter, less of the predictable, boring, and dam right annoying structures that every other station and show has to follow, keep it unique!!!!!!! IF IT'S NOT BROKE, DONT FIX IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nope, I went to Worth School which is in Turner's Hill really - but I used to go into Crawley on the weekends I stayed at school.

Oh I see! You probably turned out alright then.

I drive past that building nearly every day.

You too... that school seems to be getting worse by the minute. I think about 3 kids from that school have been run over in the past 6 months by stupidly running across the main road rather than using the underpass provided.

I think it's supposed to be pretty ridiculous though.. I'm not sure why I preferred it though, to be honest, I just did.

Ice Age I think is the only film series where the sequel is better film

I've not seen either of them.

If you have to watch one, I'd seriously consider gouging your eyes out. Really.

I used to cross using the main road, only because I hated the underpass. it was full of bullys that used to try and pick fights, so I used to advoid it! I can imagine its as bad, if not worse, than when I was there!

Really? I can think of loads of films that had better sequels. Most of them are comic-films (the first of which is usually bogged down with the character creation), but there's also Terminator 2, which I think far surpasses Terminator, and The Last Crusade, which was the only watch-able Indiana Jones movie (with the possible exception of the latest one, as I haven't seen it - I'm not holding my breath though). Do the James Bond films count as sequels? Most of them were better that the first (although the first story, Casino Royale (the recent one), was one of the better films).

Oh. Well that's understandable then... although it's a bit frightening to think that the kids who got run over were all trying to avoid bullies. How horrible. It's a lose lose situation.

Very true, i didn't count James Bonds as sequels although i think i should have. Casino Royal is one of my favourites, although I think From Russia With Love is a very good one too

I didn't bother watching the second one... the first one was good up until the point where you got to see that ridiculous monster thing. Although it did have me singing "Jeepers Creepers, where'd you get those peepers" for days afterwards.

I've been trying to rack my brain for ages for sequel films that were better than than first ones and I can't.

Although, how do you define sequel? A film that's a continuation of a story OR another film of the same title but with a different story and a "2" on the end?

I think this is the most 'off topic' thread Hijack we've had in ages, but If you can't beat em...

I personally would say Aliens was better than the first, although they are two completely different films.

I agree. I shut down the computer and went to bed right after midnight instead of staying up to listen to more music. I'll go on listen again and fast forward through all the songs.

Me, too!

It was ridiculous but very funny. "And YOU must be the Monopoly guy?" still has me rolling every time. "Bumblebee tuna...Bumblebee tuna" and then his random outburst of "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" while he's driving. All very childish but quite funny. Then the scene with the flight attendant with the horrible lisp. "Peanut?" "Yes, I have one right here. It's bulky but I consider it carry-on." Haha.

Today show had to much music and to little talking - Done ! But I'm sure Chris gets a lot of stick from the bosses at radio 1, so if one show every now and again has a bit to much music in but means that Mr.Moyles stays At R1, I'm not that bothered :D
