Aled wrote:I've spoken to Ben Cooper this morning (Deputy Controller) and Caren Davies (Head Of Press) and this story isn't true.

Will Chris and the team be moved after Septemeber - yes of course - but that could be December, next year, 2 years. Ben and Andy haven't decided what's happening to the show, because at the moment there's no need to decide.

The writer of the piece was Gordon Smart who is the Sun journalist who had his piece ripped apart on the show a couple of weeks ago when he wrote the piece about how great Scott had done at the Sony's whereas Chris "only" got one - for Best Breakfast, when in reality both had receieved one Sony nomination.

It is also true that if Chris isn't doing breakfast Scott is. That's not press worthy - it's been true since January 2004 - and everyone at Radio 1, not just Scott is aware of this.

I'm sorry you as fans, and we as a team who love making the show are getting dragged in to journalistic agendas.

Roll on September when we will become the longest breakfast show in Radio 1 history!

Thanks Aled for shutting everyone up about this, Topher tried his best, bless him.

Topher wrote:Do people not understand?! The article is clearly a complete fabrication. Get some savvy you lot. It's alright reading The Sun, if that's your thing, as long as you take it with a pinch of salt and don't believe everything you read.

Topher what's it like not to be believed when Aled is?

Could we possibly lock this topic. Not because of anything bad what we have said. But with the post made by in4308. That chris could sue.

If i could respectfully ask if we could lock this topic until we know if chris may or may not sue. Because knowing the sun. They could bring up anything and may even bring up this thread and this website too put anything against chris

Thanks.
Paul.

???

I'm lost, how could Chris sue? It's the usual crap that the Sun, Mirror, Star, News Of The World & People churn out weekly, it's all been cleared up today & the story is a non story.

I did see the headline earlier this afternoon & though "Oh bollocks" but then saw that famous red band & thought "what bollocks"

Unfeesable??? Infeasible I think is actually correct.

Who is going to use this forum as a voice for Chris in a court case I don't think Chris will bother with? Grow up Wireman!

Exactly, I can't see them using us for evidence:

Sun's Lawyer: ...Ah but didn't Topher from chrismoyles.net say...

I mean if that's how courts were to run then the world is completely screwed.

Personally I think they should go down the Back to the Future Part 2 route and outlaw lawyers. :D

 That reminds of when Lionel Hutz says "imagine a world without laywers" & in his dream bubble above his head it shows everyone linking arms in a peaceful way

@wireman2004.

Chris is highly unlikely to sue, My post was about wishing he would.

This topic wont get locked and cannot be used against Chris in a court of law if something ever did happen.

I'm staggered by the amount of * on this thread. One tabloid hack cobbles something together because he's got hurt feelings, and half the board starts running around like headless chickens and prophesying the end of the world.

Get a grip people, for *'s sake.

Yep, fair play to Topher. Nice to see you and a few others are bringing some common sense to proceedings. I don't want to get on my high horse about this, but some of the crap posted on this thread beggars belief.

So hang on, let me get this right. This means Mr Moyles ISN'T losing his job even though the Sun says he is?

Well why didn't someone say that in the first place?

The thing I don't get is that if it's not true, then that means that Sun is either lying or worse, just making it up. And why would a national newspaper do that? I find it hard to believe such a popular newspaper would lie or make stuff up.

Hehehe *poke*

Some of the comments on the websites say things like 'HA HA FAT MAN'. If the Sun had made up a different story about a homosexual or someone of a different race, comments which were meant in an aggressive tone would instantly be removed. But because it is Chris Moyles, people don't seem to care. It's OK to abuse Moyles, because he's fat. The Sun really need to employ some people who don't have to make-up news, but those who have a brain to realise that if you constantly wind up a DJ, of course he is going to rant back. It just seems that they are scared about what he will say about them, hence them releasing it on a Saturday. Cowards.

It goes back to this whole Will Young fiasco, it's ok for the tabloids to call Moyles fat, but god forbid should he say Will Young is camp 8O

Yes well apparently fat people have no feelings, or the usual tired garb that it's peoples own fault that they're fat so it's ok to take the piss out of them  :x
