The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

It should be a show with an audience - and Dave can have another go at 'King of Tickets' a few days before hand to dish them out! Foo Fighters as the house band and John Barrowman to compere the show. The last ever tedious link should link back to the first track in the chain. Anyone know what it was?

I think it may have been Rocks by Primal Scream, but can't be 100% sure.

I think Tedious should relaunch and continue into Moyles' new show seeing as it began when they were still doing drivetime.

No music for the full three and a half hours, apart from an opening "final cheesy song" and an orchestral ending of the main Chris Moyles Show theme - the whole long version of it.

Would be nice to have a repeat of the Marathon Show for the last show...

See if Chris n Dave can beat the 52 hours. Be nice if they could pull it off 'till... I dunno.... 2014...?!

Lets face it, its a 50/50 chance of it being that track anyway.

Actually statistically it's most likely to be one of the following:

Alive by Pearl Jam
U Can't Touch This By MC Hammer
Sunshine On A Rainy Day by Zoe
Set You Free by N-Trance

I'm much in agreement with that comment! I remember Mark playing out a tribute message from David Bowie and a tribute song from Travis - why is it dairylea? Also I seem to recall Chris and Dave were there in Manchester too?!

Of course there are a few characters I'd like to hear which won't be there (for pc reasons :) ). I'd like to think they get Roy live in the studio. A summing up of the marathon show would go down well.

The Dairylea song was theirs (The Shirehorses), Travis just sat and giggled through it and only joined in for the last round of the chorus. But they did play a parody tribute of Keane's 'Somewhere Only We Know', called 'After Mark and Lard Go', which was very well written-funny, sad, and tongue-in-cheek all at the same time. They had quite a few bands etc. who had recorded goodbye and goodluck messages, but my favourite of them all was from The Stereophonics. This was a band which M&L always made clear they thought was godawful, and obviously the Stereophonics had been made aware of this, because Kelly's message to them wasn't in keeping with the other 'you're brilliant, we'll miss you type messages' that had been played out, but it was totally in keeping with the tone of the show.

So I think that Chris should have a few similar send-off messages for his final show. I''m nominating Nicola from Girls Aloud, Halle Berry, and Ben Summerskill (the infamous Stonewall guy) to start with.

For maximum impact, Nicole (Dave's daughter) has to be there, just like she was in one of the counts for the Marathon Show. When I first heart that count, it was pretty emotional. :D

You mean Nicole, his daughter? I'd imagine she'd be at school.

Yes, I do. >.< By brain has apparently stopped working this evening. Very true. If I was her teacher, I'd let her take the morning off, for such a momentous occasion...

So the general consensus seems to be that people want Moyles's entire R1 career celebrated?

By mentioning afternoon funnies it would seem fitting to get as many people back from the past decade?

That would be my ideal, but I imagine the logistics of pulling it off would be very difficult. Plus it might be seen as alienating to the audience who've only ever heard Chris at breakfast.

I'm with the 'not too many celebrity guests' crowd - although a decent venue, streaming, and perhaps audience, would be great - it would also help show that the BBC is willing to admit what a great job they have done over the years (paying out the cash means more than a fairly wooden speech from an exec) "out with a bang"....

Extended show would be good too ;)

And another vote for past team members - would be brilliant to have them involved some how (someone needs to get breakfast!)

8 1/2 hour show? Highlights from each year in each hour?

I was thinking something like replace the golden hour with an hours highlights from a year of the breakfast show. one a week until they finish.

I thought the bidet chat today was class.

Haven't we all washed our feet, chilled beer in one?, us Brits circle around a bidet as if it's an alien monolith.

Inane chat is a must.
