I don't like all the dance music and the way it infiltrates EVERYTING. I understand that some people like it, and that's fair enough, but with all the "specialist music shows," the dance-related ones are always at much better times, either just before, just after or even during prime-time slots, whereas with alternative specialst music shows, they're always much later (e.g. the sessions, john peel, etc, etc).

This really bugs me, and I wish it could be a bit fairer, with some dance shows at a later time instead. Because of this, I voted for "euro dance cheese" in the hope that it's absence would cause slightly better programming decisions to be made and also hopefuly a slightly better playlist.

Too tough to pick just one.

It wouldn't be 1xtra, as that station when it eventually launches will put an end to all the crappy "preview" shows currently on Radio 1. The playlist serves a purpose, but it shouldn't be rigid. I don't mind M+L, plus they still have a devoted following. John Peel is welcome to his 10pm slot as I never listen to Radio 1 then anyway. And I quite like the Dreem Teem, although I'm probably in the minority.

So, if I had my way I'd get rid of Pearce, Cox, Sarah HB and all the pathetic Euro dance cheese. - jc

Nah, I don't like the dreem teem. I'm sure they're all very talented DJs and everything, I just don't like their show. In my opinion the entire Radio 1 sunday schedule is crap. It's the only day where the only thing I'll listen to will be CDs or Mini Discs.

it's gotta be coxy, and i think some major re-arrangement of show times has to be done. I like dance music but enough is enough. The best shows are on too late (John Peel, the Rockshow, the lock up) and sundays are sooo lame, the only good thing is the sunday surgery.
