The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

Chris made a comment whilst filming his pilot show the other day that got me thinking. He said "Please take this show seriously, I cant carry on at Radio 1 forever so i need this gig" Said as a joke but it got me thinking, Who will take over from Chris? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE not Scott Mills, i can cope for 2 weeks but thats it! I really cant imagine Radio 1 without Chris and the team.

I don't think it's possible to speculate until you know when the show will stop. And we don't like talking about that.

*covers ears* Make him stop! Chris isn't going anywhere. Make him stop!!

*sticks fingers in ears* LALALALALALALALALA I'M NOT LISTENING!

Can you imagine how funny it would be if Mills DIDN'T get the gig though!

Oh I would laugh.

Moyles should be replaced by Wogan.

No, hear me out. At some point old Tel is going to feel its time to go. So we keep Chris at Radio 1 until then, at which point Chris switches breakfast shows and we get many more years of the Chris Moyles show!

Its almost too simple...

The real answer to this question is: Who cares?? We'll all follow him wherever he goes, so this question is purely academic. With the ratings that he's getting now, he's not going anywhere for a while.

If he does wind up going to Radio 2 many years down the road, lets hope Sirius decides to add that station as well.

He'll probably end up buying Vrigin Radio then proposing to a 16 year old by buying her a ferrari then go on 3 week benders with her before his career ends in tatters. He'll leave it for a bit then come back not quite as good as he once was.

I like Evans now! I never did before.

See, that's a good theory, but if he goes somewhere that we cannot all listen to him then we can't. Although I can't really see him going to local radio!

The guy is a moron. Fake, overrated, nauseating and ever so slightly irritating!!

If Moyles did go to Radio 2, they would do what they do to all the talent that defects there, stick them on at stoopid o'clock on a Saturday night!!

See, I used to think that, but I like his show now.

Radcliffe is on at a reasonable time.

I never thought of Chris Evans as being a 'moron'. I enjoyed him in TFI Friday, 'Don't Forget Your Toothbrush' (although I was very young) and I now like his radio 2 show. Maybe it's the same reason people think Zane Lowe is a moron - both very passionate at radio but not liked. I like a bit of that though!

i believe chris will be there for another 10 years or so. Then go too radio 2 when radio 1 changes everything again. Read my other post radio 2 in 15 years. But by that time. I think greg james will become radio 1 breakfast show host. With possibly comedy dave being with chris on breakfast for as long as ever. And then dave doing radio 1 drivetime with chappers as the new mark and lard.

With the possible exception of Greg James, I can't see any of the current Radio 1 presenters still being at Radio 1 in 10 years time. Unfortunately.
