Whats the deal with batteries?I seem to be constantly eviscerating batteries from one device to the next, yet whenever I go shopping I buy f**king great big 'value' packs of them.I get my shaver and the batteries missing.I go to record something-batteries missing from remote. Then its a major root through the kitchen drawers where several hundred 'orphan' batteries are scattered between the knotted cotton thread, plastic crabs and empty tubes of glue. (I'm a big Tony Hart fan) Yet every single one of these is dead as a dodo's d'ildo.....Batteries.

i hate it if say your radio takes 4 batteries and they run out but you only have 1 spare so you put that in and eventually it runs out again so you change the other 3 'cause ones nearly new anyway. then it dies again and again and you end up swapping odd batteries and it becomes a vicious vicious cycle. then the therapist says that theres nothing he can do and your cat dies then you find a rat bone in your kebab. OH THE MADNESS!!!!!!!!!!!!.

My remote control is really annoying because I lost the back to the battery bit and so now the batteries keep on falling out so I lose them and then have to put in fresh batteries even thought the ones I had before werent flat :?

Just have to sellotape them in, like me! Batteries are bugging, I bought about a dozen on holiday, in two weeks they were gone! Not fair

do what i do, get a battery charger. I needed one for my digital camera and walkman when on holiday - the minidisc charged itself up.

Congrats on your 1000th post David, :-) Yeah but your not supposed to charge up normal batteries, are you? Well it says that on the back of my personal cd player....

No problemo! After I did that a few years back, lol. The sellotape remains... Well I have never seen them ni-cad ones or what they call them? Nickel Cadmiun or something I heard in chemistry which I don't quite remember...

you cant recharge normal batteries cause they only have a one way reaction. when rechargable batteries are on charge it reverses a reaction inside them so u can use them again. very exciting i know but im bored so i thought i'd give you an insight.

It is actually possible to recharge normal batteries - there are specially adapted chargers available to do this but you can only charge normal batteries a couple of times if I remember rightly....
