The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

Oh dear..it seems Chris has antagonised BBC chiefs by slagging off Graham Nortons new show.Theyre said to be not happy at all and have told him so.Maybe it wasnt the best move by Chris before he renews his contract!..Im betting thats why hes in such a bad mood this morning. Also i think hes in big trouble for getting Carrie to shout ovber that piece for BBC tv.He played the first record at 6.41am.Somethings wrong.Very wrong....

He can't. He has none. Please stop even thinking that anything he writes is worth responding to, it can only be bad for your blood pressure.......

Yeah, you're right, I should have ignored it.

Well the Graham Norton thing was in The Sun, however that is The Sun...

And yeah, maybe they are angry, but BBC getting rid of the best radio host? That makes no sence. And even if they do, it doesnt really matter. He'll get a job (and I assume bring his team with him) to another station that gives him more freedom.

Infact, Im liking the idea of him leaving now...

The idea that there would be more freedom in a commercial station is daft though. If he - or any other presenter - has people to please at the BBC, how many more people are there to please when you add all the advertisers and the money people into the mix? There is more broadcasting freedom at the BBC than anywhere - but it isn't completely free. Nor should it be, the idea that someone could go on the air at breakfast time and broadcast absolutely anything they wanted is a silly one.

Didn't realise Chris wasn't entitled to his own opinion on things and chose to voice them rather than be a 'corporate suck up' - silly me

Rachel, Aled, Carrie and Dom are employed by the BBC, so they would have to quit. I doubt they would do that, as their main job is not the show.

Possibly Carrie and Dom you could get away with that comment because they are BBC journalists (though I'm pretty sure they both predominantly work on the show), but are you saying Rachel and Aled's main job within the BBC is not to produce the Chris Moyles Show? What else do they do?! Surely producing one of the most successful radio shows in the country would count as a full time job.

as far as i'm aware.
Job roles after chris moyles show.

Aled. He is day producer. So technically still working on the show. Also the surgery. I'm not sure if he produces other shows. Aled is also on the board who chooses the playlist.

Rachael. Show producer. Also produces other shows. I.e. O.B's remember during big weekend. Rachael produced Jo Whiley and scott mills 9pm - midnight on the saturday of big weekend.

Dom. Also does newsbeat at 10.30, 11.30 and 12.45 exept thursday when he is on podcast duty.
Last christmas when chris finnished on the friday. I was hearing dom on newsbeat bullitins at 13.30 on the 23rd before he went on his christmas break

Carrie. Quiet like jules. Works mostly on 5 live in addition too the breakfast show.

Matt. Also produces other shows (early breakfast when greg was on holiday.) as well as ba's the chris moyles show.

In theory. We would like all the team too jump ship with chris and dave. But in reality. Each member of the team has a extended role within bbc radio which would be unrealistic. The only exeption too this is if radio 2 come calling.

Also on a side note. Everyone considers chris and dave too be a big double act. What happens if chris goes too local radio. It is not a given that dave will follow. Remember mark and lard. Mark radcliffe is radio 2 and mark reiley is on 6 music drive time.

thats a bit over the top don't you think yudster.

Anyhow. I would imagine that chris would head too radio 2 or 6 music. Maybe then he could ask radio 2 or 6 too negotiate with radio 1 too bring the team with him.

I don't think it is over the top, local radio is for people who've 'had' their hay-day, like Jason Donovan, Emma Bunton and the guy who tips the camera over and gives us the most fake laugh I've ever heard. Chris Moyles is firmly slap bang in the middle of his hay-day and I reckon he has a good few years to go too. He's not radio 2 material either, far too entertaining!

If the breakfast show HAD to change and us listeners got a say, (obviously we wouldn't, but i'm just saying...) I'd vote that they pick up the entire show exactly as it is, same team, and move it to a night slot, purely so they can be out of the watershed and be a little bit more risque.

Haha - I know what you're saying there, but I don't agree. There are some cracking shows on Radio 2!

No I don't - Chris Moyles has been there and done that, there is absolutely no way he will go that far backwards from where he has got to - ie the top of his profession and the most prestigious job on radio, bar none.

Ony thing Chris is guilty of is liking Take That, dont care what people say they are one of the overhyped bands ever, never liked them and never will and I dont know anybody who does, there is no way in hell I will be listening at 9am, should be an hour of Oasis on thursday, not a bunch of assclowns

Haha yeah, because Oasis aren't overrated in the slightest.

haha, given the demographic - i think that an hour of oasis would get the listeners much less excited at 9am if they were to be promised an hour of oasis, however over workplaces across the UK it's very likely that everyone's switching their radios up for it.

if the bosses dont like chris slagging off their programming, then they would approach chris about the issue: and with reason to do so, however it would only add to the list of mild discrepancies which end up picked up by the media and run to the hills with. (excuse the awful english). i don't believe chris' ego could cope with having to go back to local radio, nor would he want to (having slagged off everything about local radio at one point or another, and being radio 1 for the last 10+ years...

Oh god, R1 was insufferable when Be Here Now was about to be released (1998?). Literally two tracks from that album every half hour. The hype was obscene.

By the way, although I was never much of a Take That fan, I went to their Ultimate tour (the comeback one) with my sister, and I can honestly say it was one of the most enjoyable nights I'd ever had. They really know how to do shows, and it was especially commendable at the time considering their ten year hiatus. In all honesty, although it's hard to compare considering the contrast between the acts, I put them up there with Muse, R.E.M and Iron Maiden as far as my own experiences/memories of live music are concerned.

I admit the nostalgia factor helped though - I'm not sure I'd appreciate the 'Circus' tour in the same way.
