No real new commitments for Coxy but it'll be interesting to see what Fearne can do. Gregg has a great opportunity this should be good for him now, more mischief in the afternoons to pass the time. September will be a very interesting month.

I like all of those changes except Dev - who I am sure I will get used to.

So are Jo and Edith leaving or just taking other slots? Not that I particularly like either of them, just curious.

Weekends 1-4 in that article. So Nihal is also having his schedule reduced. Although I would think that's to do with his new baby

Ah posted at same time!

Has Dev only done a couple of weeks at Radio 1? And he's already being moved?

Good to see Greg James in that slot, at last a reason to listen to afternoons. I'll be honest since Mark & Lard left I haven't listened to afternoons at all, Edith has never really clicked for me unfortunately.

Glad Chris is staying put though, he also confirmed this this morning that he'll be there until at least 2010 :D

Would have loved Sara Cox to replace Jo Whiley instead.

Nothing against Fearne but Sara is really funny and also on the "swap over" has great banter with Chris

Nothing really affecting me, I can't listen during the day and rarely listen at weekends. Will be disappointed if that now means Dev will cover for Scott when he's off - I liked Greg James there, it was a reason to listen!

Booo, Fearne irritates me so much. Ah well, you Jo Whiley haters have got what you wanted. Still, at least Edith is going and who the fook is Dev?

Fearne Cotton for Jo Whiley?! This is worse than when Craig Brown was replaced by Bertie Vogts as Scotland manager. I didn't like Brown but he was still a lot better than what replaced him.

Its going to be amusing listening to Edith try and pretend she wanted to move to weekend breakfast

Im well chuffed about Gregs promotion-less so about Fearne Cotton-Chris and her dont get on at all well, and the 10am handovers will either be frosty at best or axed altogether.Chris l oves Jo its clear, and he must be pretty angry about her being moved to weekends. The promotion of younger presenters is probably a bad sign for Chris's long term future at the station-I think they might well replace him with Nick Grimshaw or Greg James next july.I fear this could mean this is his final year on breakfast ,and possibly the station altogether. It ties in with the reports that he might be replaced by someone much younger as part of an overall shift to younger presenters on the station.Even Scott mILLS (an elderly 35!) future is not as certain as it was yesterday.Look slike anyone over 30 is persona non grata at radio One now!

No, Fearne isn't the best radio presenter in the world but she is far preferable to Whiley. I'd have preferred Sara Cox, but I don't think she's interested in a weekday show permanently.

There's only one solution that I can think of. Someone will have to impregnate Fearne and we can get Sara to fill in while she's off doing the baby thing.

Any volunteers?

its a surprise that Fearne didnt get pregnant at the same time as her best friend Holly Willoughby. They seem to do everything alse in tandem, like taking overmajor weekday morning shows!

No way were these changes voluntary-Edith would never have wanted to swap weekday afternoons for weekend breakfast, and Jo cant have wanted to give up her weekends with several school age children. It will be interesting to see what further changes wil be made in a years time.I think we can also knock on the head any possibility that Sara Cox will ever return to the weekday line up,other than as a stand in.

PS am I the only person who will miss Nihals cheery banter at weekends? He just had a baby on monday and now hes lost his daytime shows :(
