If you see any reviews of the first TV show last night in any of the papers (or on the web), it would be great if you could email them across to mailto:[email protected] and I'll add them to the TV reviews page.

For those who missed it, we're hoping to sort something out .. stay tuned.

New live show plumbs the depths

All those viewers who have been yearning for a television show featuring a bighead in a pub shouting his head off must have loved Live With Chris Moyles from Channel 5.

With a format that must have taken several seconds to devise, Chris bellowed bilge at an audience made up of student nurses. And when he couldn't think of anything to say he read out stories from the papers.

There might have been a worse programme made in living memory but I think I must have missed it. What rubbish.

Two look-a-likes (I thought) Mackenzie Crook (I think that's his name), the guy from the office, who Chris described as having a flock of seagulls on his head, and Lenny Kravitz next to him. Oh, well, maybe it's just me!

Topher - What Chris actually said was "you look like a fan of flock of seagulls" who were a dodgy 80's group whose lead singer had the same haircut as that guy on the show.

I feel really awful for not being able to post the review last night. I just could not get connected to the net. I must have dialled up at least 50 times. Hopefully I will be quicker next time.

Maybe they're all egotistical maniacs and think they can't trust anyone else to do their hair, so they have to do their own, wich has obvious disadvantages... Just a guess :)

GREAT NEWS

The ratings for Chris Moyles' new show on Channel 5 have rocketed by 100,000 after just one day.

Although the audience numbers do not compare well against big shows on ITV or the BBC, they represent a 25% jump for the 7pm slot on Channel 5, which, up to now, has pulled in just 400,000 viewers.

Live With Chris Moyles, which last night featured an audience of hairdressers and a woman who runs a dating agency for millionaires, pulled in 500,000 viewers compared with 400,000 for its debut on Monday.

However, it was not enough to seriously dent the competition. The Channel 4 News pulled in 1 million viewers; ITV1's Emmerdale was seen by 8 million; BBC2's Star Trek picked up 2 million and Watchdog on BBC1 notched up 4.7 million.
