The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

Can see this being quite entertaining actually.

Quite rightly not covering the England games, but I will definitly be using the red button to catch their first game and see how they do.

Chris revealed this morning that they would be commentating on lunchtime kickoffs didnt he?

Well, the BBC lunchtime matches are:
Tue 15th Jun New Zealand V Slovakia
Fri 18th Jun Germany V Serbia
Mon 21st Jun Portugal V North Korea

And as well as those, there are some on a weekend, but I doubt that Chris and Dave would do these.

I'll be at work for the lunchtime games, but I reckon the commentaries will be funny.

I'm actually off work in that first week so I'll probably listen to one and see how amusing it is. I don't particularly like football, so they'll have to be pretty good to make it entertaining!

It would also be funny if Aled walks in with half a slice of toast in his mouth, and says something like "Shame about so-and-so being evicted on Friday wasn't it" And then they all start talking about BB when a goal is scored. Or Dave and Dom in the far background and you can just about hear them doing a bit of impromptu Folkface.

I think New Zealand v Slovakia on Tuesday, 15 June will be the first game, especially after Chris said the first one will be fascinatedly dull.

Also does anyone know if you’re going to be able to listen to it online? I remember when they first mentioned it this week (Tuesday I think) and Chris was talking about it being on the red button, Aled said “and online” in the background, but its not been mentioned since.

This could be quite funny!
Shame I'm at work though, do you think that the BBC are allowed to play World Cup games on iPlayer?? Hang on, on second thoughts, why did I even ask that? If it was on iPlayer I'd get Lawrenson and Co anyway.... Ignore me.... Everyone else does... 8O

I wish they wouldn't tell us the gags they're going to do.

"I'm going to pretend I don't know who the players are"

Yeah, nice one - but it'd be funnier if I heard you trying to figure out the players and I was unaware that you were doing it on puprpose.

It's a bit like "I slept with Chris Moyles last night" - it's funny, but it'd be funnier if I didn't hear you persuading Billie Piper to say it and then hear Billie Piper saying "Oh, and I've got to tell you I slept with Chris Moyles last night".

It kind of ruins the illusion....

Yes they announced they are doing the New Zealand vs Slovakia next Tuesday at 12:30. I believe they are doing the Germany v Nigeria game also since they briefly mentioned it. Great news for me since I am off so can listen. Couldn't care less about football and the World Cup but hopefully this should be funny.

It is a reel shame there are lunch time matches during the week, like most listeners including me most people will be working, yes I will be at a computer but the internet at work is restricted so no chance there, I would of thought they may have done at least one evening match, the best I will get is what clips they play on the shows the next day after each match, bummer :(

It is frustrating, I agree lunch time matches is no good for most of us (including me) a good idea would of been 1 lunch time match, 1 afternoon match, and 1 evening match, then everyone has a chance, I suppose Chris and Dave prefered lunch time matches for some reason.
