I was wondering what is Dave's actual job title? I know he's called 'Director of Comedy' and does a lot of work on the features with Chris but what's he actually down as? Co-host or something?

Yeah, 'director of comedy' is a title Dave gave himself and is in no way official. i believe he is simply a 'contract worker' and has no specific job title beyond 'presenter'.

I've actually met Chris n shook his hand. This fact is still causing slight issues in my trouser dept.... :wink:

Plus, he's freelance isn't he? So I guess they just hire him for the show and isn't an employee as such? It's good to have a place to discuss the really important things in life...

Yeah he's freelance, probably kind of like a contractor, he's not a BBC employee.

I used to think of him as the 2nd half of Chappers & Dave.

I'd have thought Dave was a BBC employee? He's a presenter, wouldn't that make him one?

as for his tiitle, I'd say he's researcher/presenter. Maybe you should ask Aled on the Ask Aled part of the forum? He'll prolly tell ya

Dave is not employed by the BBC, he is contracted in the same way that Moyles is. Dom is now also in that situation - he used to be employed but is now freelance. Aled is still a BBC employee, as are all the others I think - can't imagine why they wouldn't be anyway.

I like the show and just filter him out.

Let's be honest, he contributes nothing of interest or any kind of comedy so there is nothing to miss. I admit I found the ridiculous laugh hard to ignore for a while but now I don't even realise he is there.

I think he is brilliant, He adds alot to the show and I couldn't imagine the show to be half as good without his input and inventions.

I'm sure he contributes much more than you even realise. He sets up a lot of gags with Chris, and works on a lot of the features. He's integral to the show as it stands.
