In Leeds everytime you stand for a bus.....another bus which you do not want..always ALWAYS stops.........however yesterday while i was waiting for the Number 49 bus at near enough the end of my street in Bramley Leeds..i was hid in the bus shelter from the driving rain...i noticed a bus was coming..sure enough,,,number 49..so i stick my slightly soaking wet hand out...and i make sure i have my weekly ticket in my hand..to see the bus sail straight by......slightly aggitated and agrived by this i relisesed i could run to the bus stop behind my street...after a sprint and a load of ugly mucky wet children laugh at my Maurice Greene impression i get on the bus..i asked the elderly driver why he didnt stop...he told me to get off the bus as i was "being cheeky" annoyed i said was this an act of a man who had made a mistake and who was trying to make sure no one on the bus noticed......he told me to get on the bus!

a little persuassian...you can do it!

You get that kind of problem in Cornwall, except that it's always raining in 'sunny' Cornwall so we don't bother catching buses we just walk home in it! We've become immune!

I was once waiting for a bus in the area of a load of roadworks. The odd thing was that there was two bus stops about 15 feet from one another. Not knowing which to stand at, I chose the right hand stop. My bus sailed past me with my arm outstretched further than the mafia's influence. I noticed the bus driver furiously waving his hand at the OTHER f-ing stop. Where's the bloody justice? The funny thing is the gov't is trying to promote public transport. Do you think they forget to tell the public transport companies? Who knows.

stagecoach buses suck, so do first buses. £1.80 just to get to college. £1.80 to get back

no justice

Really? I never knew that! That's criminal, and they want to start charging for cars going into the centre of London too.

Some passes even let you travel the ferries. I was actually surprised at the low cost of a day ticket which also let you use the ferries when I was last in London. Sucks if you're staying in the outer zones and need to travel into the city a lot, though. - jc

Why would you use the ferries? Do you have schools on the Isle of Dogs?

You can get a ferry from the Houses of Parliament up to Hampton Court. I want to go there just for the maze. - jc

Everytime I go to London I go and watch Parliment, it's free and I like watching the politicians making stuff up when they squirm when they're losing arguments!

Untrue - london transport do not do return tickets on the buses - you can get a one day bus pass but these only save you money if you have to get three or four buses. Trains and tubes you can get return tickets on though.

If you're ever in London, get a travelcard - then you can hop between buses, tubes and trains all day long....
