At 3am today. I'm pleased to report that Rachel, Mally and baby Evan are all doing well. I asked Simon to pass on congrats from everyone at the forum.

Nah, no chance of that. They'll be shocked if they have a wee nosey on here today won't they? Wonder if they even knew that she was pregnant.

Well, at 8am they were talking about how she's a week overdue and the baby had already been out for 5 hours at that point...

Maybe they were waiting to hear if mother and baby were all tickety-boo after the tribulations of labour. Maybe a wee sneaky act of subliminal messagingary(sp) with them knowing fine well the baby was here but not wanting to announce it until given the go ahead. Maybe this was their way of just bringing Rachel and baby to the front of peoples minds. Maybe I am talking shite and should probably stop typi

Never. Baby Yudster is seven years old (he'll be 8 in January) and reminds me daily that I mustn't refer to him as a "baby" in public, but in private, he's got no chance.

Well Rachel's had her baby. From Dave's Twitter today

'Big congratulations to @ProducerRach & @dwdmallender on the birth of baby Evan this morning. He's officially eleven eleven eleven Evan! x'

I have to admit I was never Rachel's biggest fan, but many congratulations to them both. Their kid has a very cool date of birth!

Have they mentioned it on the show yet?

Ha, yep, I missed it. Simon sent me a pic today - I'm not one for babies really, but he looks like a regulation one, no mutations or anything, so I guess that's good.

Meh, I think it makes sense as it is.

Now, that's a different thing - my mum still calls me her baby, and still introduces me to people as her baby - and that's fine. Despite being 36, I still am (and always will be) her baby.

But she doesn't call me "Baby Jeremy" when she refers to me and I don't think anyone else has either.

It's almost as if Baby has become a title like Lord, Lady, Sir or Dame.

Did this disappear yesterday?

Yes, unbeknownst to all that Dave had tweeted it an hour earlier! Anyway. I don't think my mum refers to our kid as baby. I have done, but only when he's being a pain, like the other week when I was in Starbucks with him and he was whining about olives in his sandwich: "just pick them out and stop being such a baby."
