I was out for my mates birthday, but I taped it to see what I think. I will watch it later. I bet it won't be as good as the Vicar of Dibley though.

Like most comedys these days there are no funny bits. Especially when its advertised as Darkly Comic, that means there isn't the slightest chance of anything funny ever happening.

The TV channels need to stop throwing money at unfunny people and start inveesting in new original talent. Its laughable that something like The Office can be hidden away on BBC2 and you get total crap like that on BBC1.

I know! Who packs tupperware like that on a ship?! (I don't think it was poo, by the way, more the left over chocolate that she'd been eating previously!)

As Moylesworld offical cornwall correspondent, i am disgusted that The cornish are portrayed a slow inbed fools with accents all other the place. no one can mimick the cornish accent, i have 39 people think they can on my course!!

Accents worse than Ulrika keeping a secret.

I think mainstream comedy programmes like the Wild West and My Family are kept on mainstream BBC 1 whereas more alternative shows such as The Office and League of Gentleman are kept on alternative BBC 2.

If mainstream means not funny then fair enough.

I have to admit that I think My Family is quite funny...

wild west is a poor league of gentleman mimic, a stab in the dark at darken humourous minus the conrtridiction of strange absurdity...just settling for the absurd.

mind numbingly boring, i'd kick dawn french in her fat ass if it didn't mean that i'd have to lose a limb.

I turned it off. Mind you, I turn most things off (no jokes about the ladies please) - there's maybe four or five programs a week I'd watch: The Office (funny), The Simpsons (funny), Futurama (funny), Buffy (I have my sordid reasons) and Top Gear (because all said and done I'm a bit of a geek).

Things like Wild West are aimed at your basic, common or garden couch potato who'll watch anything that's on rather than getting off their lazy fat arses and doing something constructive like going to the pub or spending hours on-line posting on message boards.

It's not so good now that there's that new girl in it, and Nick isn't in it so much, but it's still very funny most of the time.

This isn't entirely true. tlc last night was on BBC2 and it was very possibly the most poorly excecuted sitcom I have seen in my life! (Sorry, Sidla. Just thought it would be better to continue on this thread about crap comedy than start a whole new one!)

I actually found TLC rather funny, it was fairly bizzare though. Has Wild West finished because it's not on tonight or is it just a one-off because of Celebrity Bargain Hunt Live?

That's another thing, did anyone else see Celebrity Bargain Hunt last night? The fact that it's for charity and all the bidders bid ridiculously high kind of spoils the fun, because you know everything's going to make a profit, so the whole auction is a waste of time really.

Oh, and I don't mind you bringing back threads from a couple of weeks ago, it's when you dredge them up from Janurary and I can't even remember them.

Yeah I thought that, Anthony just destroyed the point when he went on about beating Ainsley with the Teddy bear with the Pudsey mask, watched it just for the sake of DD though, I love him!

It looked like it was gonna be better last night when they bought more serious things, but then Linda made a mockery of it when she started to encourage the bidders to go higher on the really REALLY naf light set! Then Tommy and the other expert did the same and it was just pants! I'm not gonna watch it again!

yeah i found that too, its not realistic and spoilt the show. They should have just went round and asked the bidders to each put a tenner in a bin.
