Just seen on the Digiguide listings that Vernon Kay will be doing breakfast the week beginning monday august 13 while Chris is on holiday.Scott is at the Edinburgh Festival that week so can't do it. Also Trevor Nelson is sitting in for Fearne Cotton all that week as part of Radio One extras 10th anniversary celebrations and Gemma Cairney is doing the Surgery on sunday august 12 while Aleds away.
No idea what's happened to Sara Cox that week but she will be sitting in for janice Long on radio 2 next week and the week after

I hope that once it is announced on the show that Vernon is filling in that listeners will want to text him fake names when he is filling in.
I don't listen to him on weekends but may have to go back and hear how wound up he got from all the fake names.

I was just hoping it would start again when he is on. Whoever fills in, I doubt there will be as much talk as there is now since the rest of the team will also be on holiday (oops, I almost wrote vacation)

Vernons never done breakfast without at least one member of the team being with him so I'm assuming Dave will be sacrificing a week of his holiday to do it with him.He gets a really long holiday at the end of september anyway so it doesn't really matter! I forgot about that! That would be fun. I find it hard to stick with a replacement all week if they are having very short periods of talking and more playing music. With Scott Mills there is his daily podcast but with someone else, I am more likely to miss it because I didn't want to keep stopping and starting the iPlayer when playing the previous night's show (because of the time difference here I listen when I wake up - about 4-5 hours after the show has already ended).

What about the week he was replaced by Tulisa, perhaps this would 'make up' for that? Not that I'll be listening I find Vernon unlistenable (and unwatchable on TV).

Well Dave was meant to be back at work on the 2nd week of the rest of the teams holidays in april,because he started a week earlier then the rest of them, but because Scott was doing the show he effectively had 3 weeks off, so maybe he's only entitled to one week off in august
