Haven't spotted a thread about this yet, so here goes. What does everyone think about the retirement of Carpark Catchphrase and its replacement?

Personally I thought the new game was amusing the first couple of times, now...meh. Also, they jam in some more songs just before 10am, bah!

I would have preferred it if they had kept CPC, but this is better than nothing, even though it is the same joke every day. Not particularly bothered about playing more music at the end..

I like it purely for the jingle. But someone asked Aled about this and if you read his reply you'll see that he seems to be hinting there's going to be some kind of 'pay-off' to the whole feature eventually.

Firstly, Roy's new daily game, I like many others am finding it all rather humorous, but is it actually winnable? I.e. is it just all a joke and Roy will always say no (and that's the point) or is there actually an answer there to guess? If it is winnable does the contestant win anything more than another go the following day?

Roy's game - now that would be telling! Take it for what it is. Roy. Caller chat. A few giggles - lovely.

I have my own ideas as to what I think this could possibly be (if indeed I'm on the right track at all), which is to do with the end of the show.

I like Roy Walker, but it is Dave's writing that makes his appearances on the show so funny to me.

I agree with original post, I found the 'joke' funny the first couple of times, now its just pointless. I like the jungles though, they're catchy!

I miss the 'proper' CPC, you know, when they actually played it properly and actually had winners, instead running out of time everyday. And obviously, "I have a friend who lives there..."

Kind of expect a final CPC (or a few) and Roy to be on live.

Personally, I thought that RWT was really funny, CPC had become stale and they'd run out of thick contestants (Folk music is queer is just a classic moment) so this freshened it up and Roy's singing is now legendary.

I've had my suspicions for the last 13 years, but I've always thought Harris may be Moyles.
