The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

Obviously this will be a intensely personal choice by Moyles...but is anyone up for offering suggestions?

I think he will go for something a bit understated after what will no doubt be a full on 3 and a half hours. So I'm thinking this song sums up how Moyles will be feeling....

Previous last songs...

Colin and Edith: Journey- Don't stop believing
Jo Whiley: Green Day- Good Riddance
Colin Murray: Manic Street Preachers- Man don't give a *
Sara Cox: Time of your life- Dirty Dancing
Mark and Lard: Kiss- Crazy, Crazy nights

this has kinda been discussed in the final show suggestions thread...I think he should go for the song he played first, Flowers In The Rain by The Move.

Also, can someone tell me what that video is please...? [/stuck record]

It's the Verve "Lucky Man". I think Flowers in the Rain would be rubbish and anti climatic tbh, hope its not the choice!

Ta. Youtube is blocked at work, so I ask that question at least once a week...

I think The Verve are a bit melancholy. I'd much rather they went for something more upbeat.

I hope it's a version of the cheesy song

That wouldn't be a song really though, would it? More like a very extended jingle.

Alright, alright, no need to be sarky. You know very well what I mean.

I remember the Mark & Lard one - it was tough listening to that last show. I was almost as big a fan of Mark & Lard (Adam and Joe too) as I am of Moyles.

I don't think he's mentioned Nik Kershaw much recently. Mind you, I haven't heard the show much recently, so I could be wrong.

Whatever the last song is, I hope it makes Aled cry (but I don't mean that in a nasty way).

An Ending by Brian Eno crossed my mind but that's too low key. There's always Champagne Supernova but they played that recently.

He'll probably just use playlist muck considering how much he's let management walk over him recently.

Poignant and written by his pal.

He played that when he announced the show ending though, I'm not sure if he'd use it again.

Was thinking if they had to play a song that was not a parody that you could play spice girls goodbye. Beautiful song esp with the words "it's not the end so glad we made it time will never ever change it. It's time to say goodbye"

Or thanks for the memories

What is that? *sigh*

Ta. That is a classy choice :) To be honest I think the last song might just be something insignificant from the playlist, and then they'll finish with one of their big arousing (to quote Dave) jingles or a version of the cheesy or something like that.

I'd still rather play out with the full orchestral version of the Chris Moyles show theme. Seems right to me.
