The only good thing to come out of it is that Chris wasn't there at the time. At least he is safe.

Im not a law expert but Im not sure you can discuss these types of things to 7 million people incase it causes problems with the investigation.

Cops believe he may have been targeted because he hasn’t been on air for a few days

This proves that he should stay on the breakfast show

It's good that the cars have been recovered already. There are so many desperate bastards out there these days (Badger). The world we live in is a horrible place at times.

Or at the very least stay on the radio.

Cars stolen in raid at DJ Chris Moyles' Highgate home

Burglars who ransacked the home of Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles and stole cars from his driveway are being hunted by police.

Two cars were stolen from the DJ's home in Highgate, North London, on Thursday.

The Met said the vehicles had since been recovered in Colindale, north-west London. No arrests have been made.

Moyles, longest-serving breakfast host in Radio 1's 45-year history, will present his last show next month after eight years.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "We are investigating a burglary that took place on Thursday at an address in Highgate.

"Two vehicles that were stolen as a result of the burglary have been recovered and inquiries are continuing. There have been no arrests at this time."

Moyles is being replaced by Nick Grimshaw on the Radio 1 breakfast show.

Having endured several burglaries of my former business, I can empathise with Chris. It's a horrible thing to happen. It's less about the items stolen (especially when they are recovered) than it is about the intrusion, the mess made and the personal violation. Burglars are bastiges.

Chris hasn't been away on holiday. He's stayed in London to record his album for the whole 2 weeks. Are you sure this story isn't total rubbish? If it is true then it's horrible.I've never been burgled thank God and hope I never am. Must take away someones whole sense of security

Well he was in Leeds on Friday night and the burglary happened on Thursday night so I'm guessing that's where he was. Still kinda counts as a holiday.

Goes without saying that if they catch the rats who did it they should throw away the key! :-x

Some wag on the Daily Mail comment section suggested making the culprits do community service working on the show, as there couldn't be a worse punishment. Another one said at least there wasn't any talent there to steal. As you can imagine, the opinions on the story on that particular site are overwhelming sympathetic!

Some of the comments are disgusting. Nobody deserves to be burgled and just because he is well off it doesn't make it ok. People in a position of wealth have normally worked hard to get there so don't deserve any less sympathy to someone who is working class.

Spot on. There is a hell of a lot of reverse snobbery in this country. Success deserves to be rewarded, not treated with contempt and jealousy.

Bastards. I'm not surprised Chris hasn't tweeted about it, I reckon that's the last thing he is going to want to do.

Me too. I'll be interested to see whether he mentions it on air - on the one hand you can totally understand him wanting (or needing) to keep the details of such a horrible thing private, on the other you can imagine it forming the makings of a classic rant in the "I haven't been paid for 2 months" style.

I don't even read the comments in stories, I know there will be plenty of negative and ignorant comments.
