The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

The BBC Sports Personality of the Year is on December 8th. It is always won by a footballer or some populist sport. David Beckham is probably the favourite as usual but what I want is Paula Radcliffe to win the award. Moyles should get people to vote for her to win. Look at all she has achieved this year. Winning the marathon, the world record. What did Beckham do, score a dubious penalty. Hardly earth shattering. So come on

I agree it should be her, she has worked hard for ages for that, achieved it and broken the record as well, she deserves it.

Paula radcliffe will win it by a country mile. there is no competition

Lennox Lewis? Beckham spent most of this year crocked, other athletes were a let down, cricket you're have a tin bath. Snooker? nah, Golf- you'd have to put the ryder cup lads as team of the year

Ask yourself who else.

Radcliffe is one of my picks along with Michael Vaughn, Clive Woodward and Mark Hughes, but no one has particulary stood out above the rest

Yeah Paula Radcliffe will win it easily, there's only really Michael Vaughan or Rio Ferdinand otherwise and I can't see either of those two winning it.
As for team of the year - as someone said The Ryder Cup team springs to mind as I think the publics interest in the Curling team has gone - but if England beat South Africa next Saturday, I reckon they will win it.
Overseas sports personality - can't be anyone else apart from Ronaldo surely.

no one has really stood out above the rest this year in sport but Ronaldo was superb in the world cup even if his club form is suspect. I'd like mark Hughes to win the Sports personality for the way he turned Wales from an average team into a very good team.

One of the few England Cricketers who aren't injured. And the Aussies like him. Averaged over 100 against India, and is likely to whoop Aussie arse tommorow. Or Not
