Geez, a woman dies and her dead body put on tv as it gets cut open.. it's too disrespectful for me. And depressing. I didn't watch it cos if I saw something like that I'd think too much of them woman's life and the obvious fact she doesn't have one now.. that and a guy has his hand in her stomach. Eww.

The whole thing's sick. I didn't watch it on principal. I put Back to the Future II in my video instead.

well they cut out his ribcage and were showing it round the audience. then they cut his head open with a hacksaw. not nice.

Throwing a spanner in the works - they had the guys permission before he died so I don't see how it was disrespectful. The idea was that it was educational, I didnt watch it but my mum did and she said she definatly learnt something and she was sure everyone who watched it did, even if it was seeing the effects of heavy smoking and drinking on your body. Personally its not the sort of thing I'd watch but I can see why some people did, and anyway, someones got to do autopsys, are those people sick for choosing that career? If not, then why is it sick to watch if you're a person who finds the workings of the human body interesting?

he gave his body to science. i watched it and found it quiet interesting. it maybe wrong. but its all been done before, just not a large scale like that. 100's of years ago it happened. maybe this is the breakthru and he's broken what some people would see as wrong.

i didn't see anything wrong with it. its a lot more worse then you see. some bodies are fresh- that one wasn't. he was fooked anyway- he didn't deserve to die of that- but did you see some of those parts. his heart and lungs were messed up. poor guy.

moral kids is: don't drink and smoke. eat your greens etc etc

I'm not saying it was wrong or disrespectful, because they had his permission to do it afterall. But I just think it's gross. I wouldn't want to watch it.

some people have a interest to feed. probably a mistake and a waste of cash for some people, but don't hold your horses- i'm getting the feeling that this won't be made into some market.

i watched some of it purely out of curiosity. fair enough that he donated his body to science and people watched it because it was educational.

what i don't agree with is: the fact that when they asked some people in the audience of their opinions a few said it was art!!!!!!!

what the fook is that about. how can a public autopsy to find the definite cause of death be art? thats whats wrong, and thats the only reason paople might find it disrespectful in my opinion.

I agree with sam and ad.

The guy knew exactly what he gave his body up for, and the audience knew what they were going to see. no-one forced you to watch it on TV either.

How do you think the world's best doctors and scientists learnt all they've been able to tell us about how we work? At least they didn't go and dig up a fresh grave to get the body like they would have done 100 years or so ago...

Whoa, I'm impressed you made a good point Sam, I'll take back all I ever said about you. :D Well I agree with that point, it is interesting for the people who are into the human body. If you find it disgusting then don't watch it there are other channels to watch so don't let it bother you.

The guy might have given his permission, however it's still illegal so expect some sort of charge against the dr guy and a large fine for Channel 4, not that they'll be bothered by the rating they got for it probably!

i never said they did and that wasn't my point in the first place. i said that i watched it out of curiosity. i also said i thought it was disgusting and then said it was wrong in my opinion for people to call it art.

my opinion and im allowed it so dont moan about me discussing it!

If they'd stuck it in an 18-rated film released in cinemas across the world they would have called it 'art'
