Fatboy: it's a confused rumor. It is almost certain that Steve Penk will do the breakfast show, moving straight to the no1 job from his Afternoon show at Capital. John Culshaw was Penk's sidekick for many years on his radio show, until he moved to Moyleses show. While with Penk, Culshaw came up with his Shaggy impression (one of the Capital calls are in the sound vault) and he also released a CD of prank calls. In all the newspapers today, they said Penk was famous for doing a prank call on Blair, but infact it was Culshaw who did the call. This is where the confusion might have been started.<P>the_dr

yeah he did it as william hague (didnt he?) an blair caught him out because hague always calls him "prime minster" instead of tony or whatever.

i hope so anyway. i heard a cd of the call in my common room once (along with the shaggy one - which everyone enjoyed) and it sounded very much like the culshark impression, if you remember his impression of t.blair from that thing where they interviewed the main political candidates on newsbeat.
