I use a program called Cool Edit Pro. Having spoken to some people at the bbc when I did a bit of stuff ther, it is also ther prefered piece of software so i'd highly recomend it. It also features a nice easy to use multitrack feature and I have achieved some good mixes on ther which I have had some good feedback on from my radio show :-)

Thanks Martin, Baza - listen in - it takes the format of Pete Tong, Seb Fontaine etc (my show)...but slightly more informative and collective about the music minus the world exclusives :)

Thank You it's.... and it's on at...... listen to me.....on......at...... :P (sounding more like a birthday invitation ;))

I'm not a fan of continous plugging, as you well know and try to keep it in context of the thread, and not post plugs of my station/show on any random thread...

Thanks Monkey, Dan. It's supposedly one of the top student radio stations in UK, behind Warwick (who have already got digital broadcasting - we are in the process), and places like Bournemouth that are known for their media depts.

in regards to my show - i have done a couple of remixes, but they are shameful and would not give them airplay myself! :) But we do feature remixes from various up and coming dj's/producers. As it stands, i only have an hour's show, a two-hour show would be ideal, but hey you have to start as the dogs dinner :) yeah i've done the tea stuff... :) but the hour show limits us in terms of format - as at the moment, i have the first half-hour as the 'music-rundown' sorta thing, whereby i play the new-ish, good tracks, that have just been pressed onto white's/small labels... and basically info about what's happenning in house music (hey if you're into this type of thing - the history of house music series, 'Pump up the volume' on Tuesday, CH4 is quite good. Though i do notreccommend the accompanying album - the nature of the programme is to amplify the greats and provide that further understanding of house music, though is not portrayed on the album - just the big tunes... disappointing.) jeez, how did i stray onto that? i didn't also like the coverage of people clubbing because it was fashionable and everybody was doing it - nothing has changed :)

And so yeah, the last half-hour then consists of a mix either by myself or my 'fellow dj' :) it will be me this wednesday.

Were also trying to get dj sammon (barcode) in - the guy who produced the track "boys who like girls, who like...blah blah blah" - he went under the pseudonym of 'Pianohead'.

I also had a sunday show, which was kinda like the general show - 2-4pm, but i left that because of college work and hoping to gain that slot again but on a rotary basis, because although the students are in bed (yep there usually heroes if there up at all on a sunday) tis a good slot. I would also give moylesworld a name-check but i would invite someone to call in a do it, in an uncanny manner :) ... i couldn't possibly do it myself.

take a look at the playlist on the website too, couple of good emerging ones - Kathryn Williams. Soul, Harps. Indie

I'm also trying to get basement jaxx on my show - wish me luck :) - also nitin sawhney came down but not on my show - and i wanted to get in and pre-record an interview, but i had a class and they wouldn't let me out.... understandable but nevertheless - bastards :). Jarvis * also froze on us two hours before his interview with us.

will keep you up-to-date (but not so much that it becomes inane) :)
