I followed the instructions for creating my own soundpak but unfortunately it doesn't seem to work. I create the new zip file, add all my mp3's and then unzip it to the soundpaks folder but it doesn't come up. I didn't create a pak info file - does that matter

Can someone please give me step by step instructions as I'm really struggling

Thanks

You didn't follow the instructions if you unzipped it then.

5. Rename your zip file SoundPakX.pak where X is a number from 0 to 19
6. Place your SoundPak in the soundpaks/ folder off the main SoundMachine folder

The instructions are step by step.

Clearly I'm being a bit thick with this.

This is what I have done - Can someone please tell me where I'm going wrong!
1. I saved all the files I wanted as mp3's 1 - 11
2. I created a new zip file and placed all the mp3's in there.
3. I created a new text document for the pakinfo and named it as shown in the instructions.
4. I then renamed the zipfile Soundpak0.pak(.zip - that added automatically)
5. I placed the zip file in the soundpaks folder (still zipped)
6. I clicked on it and got the same add menu with the list of files.

Where am I going wrong?? Do I need to create an .exe file in order to unzip it or is there something else I am not doing??

All help gratefully received :?

There you are going wrong. You need to rename it to Soundpak0.pak

No .zip

view the file extension (tools:folder options:uncheck hide all file extensions), then rename the file so it is soundpakX.pak NOT soundpak.pak.zip

Where is this menu?? Is it in winzip or is it somewhere else??

Just in a folder.

There are a few threads where people had the same problems, which you would of known if you had searched, which give details on renaming and showing file extensions.

Sorry McQueen din't mean to cause trouble!

I have managed to sort it and my Soundpak is now working. :D

I'll make sure I search in future before I create new threads.

You know the old saying...Once bitten, Twice shy (ideal for Car Park Catchphrase!)

Cheers for all the help anyway
