Yeah, I think it does.

I tried it last night and it downloaded the show from yesterday morning.

I didn't see any options anywhere to specify which day you wanted to download.

My only problem is the thing took over 3 hours to download! Anyone any ideas how, or even if it's possible to speed this up?

It's not possible to speed bbc2mp3 up, it downloads the stream in realtime.
