One of the main differences is the live stream is fed straight to your computer. To be able to have this feature I think there would have to be a canny delay.

With the Live streams it really depends on what player you're using and how they're set-up. Some don't keep any back-buffer and so you can't rewind at all, some might keep some but not all of it, so you can only go back as far as it allows, and others save all they get allowing you to rewind back to when you started listening.

With the Listen Again streams, it usually not so much a case of rewinding as much as it is starting again at a earlier point in the file.

Come to think about it, the term 'rewind' is completely inappropriate and misleading. It's not going backward through the file - it's not a serial mechanism, it's random access one - it jumps to the the correct point.
