Yeah, might as well I guess.

Cheers,

Rich~

P.S. After my (ver rapidly approaching) exams, I'll have a week and a half between my last exam and when I have to return to school, so I'll be able to send in the oohs and aahs and everything then.

If someone sent me something I didn't get it. The only things in the pile at the moment are a couple of new pictures for the board gallery .. an advert .. and the sports talk music.

I wasn't saying that you had been sent them - it was just kind of a reply to the previous post as he said he'd post them once his exams are over ! ! !

Gromit - What e-mail provider are you using as I am on Hotmail and I am trying to send files bigger than 1.1 mb (ish) (the limit on Hotmail) and I notice that the Big Match theme that you sent is bigger than that so obviously your provider is capable of more ? ! ? :?

Sorry for the delay!!!! :? -I didn't receive a "Topic Reply Notification Email" for some reason.

My provider is BT Openworld (-which is BT's version of Broadband.)

I send/receive my Emails through Outlook Express - it's very good - much better than Hotmail!!

I think my Email file size limit is something like 20MB!

Hope this helps! :?

Cheers,
James. :)

many thanks

I've already said - I'VE GOT THEM. JUST BE PATIENT!!! If you'd read the posts before you would have established this, and you would have also established the fact that I didn't send them in or won't get round to it for a few days cos I'm a bit tied up with other things at the moment. I've got the other sounds that people have suggested for the sound pak, I'll then rip the crowd sound FX of the BBC Library CD, then I'll send them into Chris for posting on the board.

Weeman - even though Chris is back, if you still want me to send them straight to you, that's not a problem.

There are a number of BBC Library CDs with heaps of different themes to them (action, atmospheric, etc) with all the kinds of basic sound effects that may be needed in, for example, putting in the background on a TV drama (e.g. church bells, birds, river, clapping, etc, etc) there's HEAPS of them.

If you pop into your local library they may have some of the CDs (but most likely have the older versions which will be on cassette tape). If they've got a computer database thing, try searching for "BBC Sound Effects" (as in BBC Sound Effects Library) or you could try "BBC Radiophonic Workshop" (as in the producers of most of thes BBC SFX Series Work).

Hope that answers your question,

Rich~

Had my last exam yesterday, but I've stil got other things to do. I'll hopefuly have it ready before I go to France in a couple of weeks. Can't see any reason why not. I've got a few things to do for work before, and I'm gonna try cleaning up the other sounds (the ones I didn't have, but someone sent them to me). I'll try a few compressors on them and a few effects cos a couple of them sound a bit dodgy. Then all I need to do is convert them to MP3, add the corwd SFX off the CD, put them together in a pak file and send them in. It is on my list to of things to do, but, as I'm sure you can understand, there are other things on which have a slightly higher priority.

I'll get them done ASAP.

Rich~
