Ah thanks Nic, are they uploaded anywhere we can download them from?
(I couldn't see them in the archive on here)

I've managed to listen to bits but don't have great wifi over here.

Was hoping to catch up when I get back and also from the bits I've heard these final shows would be good to have a lasting copy of anyway.

Not at the moment, but I think we could probably do that. Ian, is it possible for you to upload the unedited shows to IA before you do the edits? How time-consuming is it to upload to IA (I've never done it)?

I could do, but my internet isn't the best. It takes about 10-15mins to upload an edited show, so an unedited one would take a lot longer. And then there's trying to remember to do it. But I suppose I could give it a go.

The other problem is, every show is cut off at the end now, because the iPlayer people went back to cutting the show off at 10am on the dot. And I really wouldn't want to have to upload Fearne Cotton's show as well...so I'll do if people want, but it'll be a choice between an edit with a complete handover, or a full show with an incomplete handover. And if I am going to do it then I'll upload the whole week on the Friday.

Oh yeah, I'd have to do that too, stupid iplayer.

In principle I wouldn't mind doing it, but a) I've got a lot on at the moment due to the tribute book, a massive backlog of Tedious Links and Preston Guild (no, I know you don't know what that is but believe me, it's a big thing) and b) I've never uploaded anything to IA, so you'd have to talk me through it which might be just as time-connsuming as doing it yourself.

I suppose I could even edit the beginning of Cotton's show onto the end of the unedited Moyles show. Again, it's just remembering to do it. It's very annoying that they extended the iPlayer recording to 5 minutes after (at my request I believe, unless it was a coincidence), and now they've gone back to 10am for some reason. I can't imagine the BBC are short of hard drive space...anyway, I'll give it a go. seeing as it's only a couple of weeks. Might as well upload the show each day too, otherwise it would take ages doing the whole week in one go. One thing I will say is that I won't be able to do any Moyles-related stuff on Monday or Tuesday, so I'll be doing Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday edited and unedited on Wednesday.

Yeah but if we are going to put unedited versions of the last 14 shows in the archive, then they should really have complete handovers like the edited versions do. It's ok I'll do it, I can edit Cotton onto the end of the unedited version at the same time as the edited version.

I've probably missed something and the answer is somewhere in these forums, but... are the final 14 "victory lap" shows going to be available for download to keep?

Thanks :-)

I would just like to take the time to applaud everyone for their hard work and dedication in building the archive as it doesn't seem like an easy feat.

Anyway, keep doing what you guys (and gals) do best as you are all playing a pivotal role in helpng people to survive the post Chris Moyles Show era.

Thank you
